I am trying to narrow down the beastie boys best TV performance. Personally, I think it was the Letterman perfromace from '04. But, at the same time I think the '98 MTV VMA was pretty nice.

It's very recent, but the Letterman performce this year was pretty fucking cool.

100% bar none it was the 98' MTV VMA's, best rap performance i've ever seen, when adrock starts gettin into it after "mmm drop?" always gives me chills

I can't pick out a best tv performance but I can tell you the most surprising one. It was when they were going to perform sabotage but instead Elvis Costello came out and they ended up performing Radio, Radio. It was on SNL

i was rather dissapointed that happened, bu t it was still cool for them to prove ethat they can kick it with sucha famous icon, plus hadn't they just performed sabotage a few weeks earlier on SNL? so i guess it didn't matter in the grand scheme of things :)

On that note, I thought in '94 when they did Ricky's Theme/Heart Attackman was a suprising perfomrance as well.

and the MTV VMA 98' performance is also a favorite just so much excitment & energy :cool: :D
