I got a good one!
Im not a juggalo or anything, I dont wear facepaint, I dont know any other juggalos but.....
I really like some ICP albums. and Violent J is one of my favourite rappers.
I know that everyone seems to say they are the worst group ever but I just dont see it - I think they are witty and have some dope beats.
I think I win this thread though.

It used to be the Beasties. But slowly, different friends have come around. Like on a road trip a few weeks ago, I had Beastie instrumentals playing and that hooked this one guy and it's all we played in the car and hotel.
Then on a road trip two weeks ago, I did the same thing and hooked another one. And I brought a serious musician over that way last year because he liked Ricky's Theme and appreciated that they played their own instruments.
When someone caves like that, it's sweet. And I like that my friends are like manly enough to admit that they were wrong about them or too quick to judge them.
My one friend went to the theater with me a few weeks ago to see Awesome even though he hurt his back that day and had to kind of hobble--it was the only day we could both make it and he withstood bodily pain for them. (y)

I don't know if it's "getting shit" for liking them, but I can certainly get teased.
For differing reasons, I got teased for listening to:
The White Stripes
Ryan Adams
Beastie Boys
Interpol

the amount of shit i got from family/friends for going to melb to see her, BAH!
growing up my family would not let me listen to hardly any "pop" music so i hid my sick love for groups like new kids on the block, vanilla ice, kylie, that kind of thing.

It's always been the Beastie Boys. Nobody I knew wanted to listen to them because they were white, and "White guys cannot rhyme!"
I'll never forget this one time in 7th Grade, I was at the playground (we were forced to play in the playground 2 times a month). This girl who had a crush on me came up to me and ask if I could rap for her. So, I rapped the first verse in "Sabotage". The girl was impressed...and then the following happened:
Girl: "That was really good. Where is that from?"
Me: The Beastie Boys.
(The girls face goes from a smile to shocked.)
Girl: THE BEASTIE BOYS!?!?!?!
Me: Yeah.
(The girl walks away, not believing what I just said.)
I swear, she was stunned. And not in a good way.
I like plenty of songs that a guy my age shouldn't like. "Blue" by Eiffel 65. "Barbie Girl", some Spice Girls songs. I'm a sucker for 80s and early 90s tunes too. You know, the really cheesy ones, the ones that are obviously from the 80s like Europe's "The Final Countdown". I love that shit. I haven't told anybody that I like those songs though, because, well, why should I admit to liking "Barbie Girl" if I don't have to?

My friends try to give me shit for almost everything I listen to. Especially bands with names that just sound nasty. Most of them have no idea what the music sounds like.

What it's like to me is: Ill be listening to a song, and my friend will be like
"Who's this by the beastie boys in a real dickish tone.
