Fair play, and VMT!
Do you think we can have a boogie at this place or are we expected to sit still and eat out popcorn? It doesn't seem right just sitting still whilst the Beastie Boys are going nuts on the screen!

I was wondering if me and my two pals (Non-Beastie fans) were the only ones there who actually paid to watch as fans. There was a huge chunk of the audience from Converse, don't know how those tickets were distributed but there were a mix of ages really. And as it was the first night of the AAA, there were a lot of theatre staff there too. A little dissapointed to see a few people leave but i suppose it wasn't to everyones taste. Having said that my mate says she'll definately buy it on dvd as she loved the energy and atmosphere portrayed on film. It has to be said that the NYC people seemed well up for it compaired to the 3 crowds I saw on the Pagent Tour. The editting of all the footage must have been a monstrous tast, over a year I beleive(?) but it comes across and feels just like you were there, I felt like I was in the crowd myself and altough I didn't move around much, I was knackered by the end of it!! There was a little intro from the Beastie Boys too, shot in an Oscilloscope Lab broom cupboard by the looks of it. They were dressed in lab coats too! Adrock was reading off a card and was sporting a bit of a goatie beard. MCA looks like he was gearing up to play santa this christmas, full on grey beard i say! Mike D just stood there really then took the piss out of Adrock, i can't remember.....One woman, who I beleive worked at the theatre was dancing her tits off during RRNN right infront of the screen and got a clap as she took her seat again, that was quite funny, i thought she was gonna strip off, shame! I just wished a few more people would have started singing along cos I felt a bit embarrassed doing it on my own, oh well. All in all I can't wait for it to come out on DVD, IMHO it will be the best music dvd release to date, no other I have seen can replicate a concert in such a way, and with the extras to throw in on top, its gonna be Awesome!!!!!

I had posted about this (http://www.beastieboys.com/bbs/showpost.php?p=1185056&postcount=15) ages ago (http://www.beastieboys.com/bbs/showpost.php?p=1185564&postcount=18).
A friend of mine was at the screening, Beasties had made a special greeting for the people attending. He's gonna send me a scan of the leaflet given to people there.

That's true, but there was a downside, because the Beastie Boys seemed to do less talking on stage -- I don't know if it was the hometown crowd or the filming. It wasn't my favorite show.

Thanks for the review. That's great that you got a special intro. It's cool that they're still trying to add a little something special to the screenings.
