None of you are fuckin lesbians or bisexual.
none of you.
stop fuckin lying.
stop fucking pretending that you'd "totally do" each other.
no you wouldn't. you would never and have never engaged in lesbian activity.
it's not cute or funny to say you would and that you have.
it's not cute or funny to constantly state that you think each other are hot and would do each other.
it's not cute or funny to vote for other women who you think are hot or "want to do".
the closest any of you have come to lesbianism is kissing your best friend on the lips when you were shit-faced drunk...or helping them get a tampon out when the string fell off.

they do it for a cheap ploy for male attention.
people are going to beleive what they want to beleive, but the above statement doesn't make sense to me. If you're bi-curious, it's actually a ploy for female attention. I already have a penis in my life. I'm interestd in talking to other women about how women turn them on and what they've expereinced in the genre.
I've never claimed to be a lesbian. I think I've been fairly open about my fantasies. I've even said at best I'm only a lipstick lesbian which doesn't really make me a lesbian at all.m However, I'm turned on by both men and women. what I choose to act on makes absolutely NO differnce to the sencerity of my feelings.
then again I guess Zorra and Q, both know me better than I know myself. I'm really hoping they would both like to enlighten me more about who I am, because my therapist and I seemd to be blocked and I could real use the inspriation.

whats a lipstick lesbo?
to COMPLETELY overuse the analogy now...
it's the equivelent of that white whigger at the local mall....who sits with his mean mug face on, looking hard....
but when a black dude walks by...he's all looking at the ground, scared to death.
lipstick lesbo's think big boobs are cool and think other girls are beautiful....
but if a chick actually tried to make a move on them...they'd be like "what the fuck?! you fuckin dyke!"

whats a lipstick lesbo?
a fem woman who is attracted to other fem women..not butch women. I don't get turned on my women who look boyish or manly.
or this: The term has also been reinterpreted as a derogatory reference to feigned lesbianism - as easy as lipstick to add or remove. (It is derogatory because most people who experience same-sex attraction would be offended at the notion that it is "chosen")
I really don't know what I am..but I guess everyone else here has me labled

However, I'm turned on by both men and women.I know a lot of heterosexual women who feel this way and who are pretty open about it and talking about it. I actually know enough women who think this way that for a long, long time, I thought it was just the norm. A lot of my female friends (now and over the years) have said that they are turned on by the female body but they're not so sure about the full-on female-female sex act; they talk about this fairly openly, probably more so than most hetero-claiming guys do. Maybe I'm wrong about that.
Maybe it's that women are more open to the thoughts of experimenting--we're certainly conditioned to be that way when it comes to female-female sex. Maybe it's that women are less inhibited in some ways. Maybe it's that we're less sexually threatened to be attracted to another woman or the look of her. It's maybe a lot of things.
Oh, by the way, some women do what you suggested, Q, (in that they say what they say to attract guys) but not everyone does that. No generalizations. I know that when I talk about stuff like that, it's not for effect and some of us do mean what we say. (I don't intend that last bit to sound mean-spirited--because it does sound that way but I don't have time to work it into niceness. You get the idea, though.)

Haven't you ever been hanging out with a close friend of the same gender, and you were laughing and getting close and sharing secrets and talking and then suddenly you caught yourself because you honestly almost kissed them on the cheek or blurted out "I love you!"?
Because I have.
And if I had done those things I would have frozen in horror at my thoughtless actions. It didn't mean that I wanted to "do her" or anything, it just meant that I kind of almost got carried away.
Now, that doesn't mean anything does it? It's not like I was into girls. I was just enamoured of this one girl at the moment and had to stop myself before going through with behaviors that are signs of affection but are not appropriate for just anyone.

It kind of makes me uncomfortable when girls try to do the cutesy pretend sexual come-ons with me. Does that make me homophobic? Or does it mean that I have hang-ups?Nah, I don't think so. I tend to feel that way in situations when I'm not attracted (at all) to the person who is flirting. And it's just because I HATE to be in the position of telling someone "no, not interested." I would rather do anything but that. For me, that awkwardness has nothing to do with gender.

This is an interesting comment here...
Looking back to when I used to actually meet new guys and wondering if the guy I am now meeting could be "it" or the new guy I could date, I recall (as did a lot of my girl friends) uptalking myself, my interests or my abilitites at certain things. For example, if I wasn't really into rock climbing, I might pretend to be "getting into it" to continue the convo with the guy and see what happens. Or if a guy was a skier, I might uptalk my skiing ability to perhaps pique his interest a bit more. Maybe the bi-sexual stuff is the new generation of this kind of stuff or maybe it's just easier to grab the chick standing next to you and shove your tongue in her mouth than to read about rock climbing.

Yeah I did that before. Like, my last boyfriend was obsessed with rock music a lot, and I'm more into hip hop. I'm like "yeah, I like rock". I do and I grew up with it, but I didn't really know as much about it. :p I don't like my generation. I don't think I'm homo or hetero, I think I'm just neutral. A lot of my friends think I'm a lesbian because I don't talk about boys all the time and I'm not out trying to get boyfriends, but I think that's because I like older guys. That's probably not good.

Hahaha...this thread is pretty laughable. I think I can speak for most of the girls on here when they say things like "I'd totally do you  ", it's obviously just a way of saying, hey you're cool, beautiful, whatever. When I looked at that recent poll, I realized that every single woman on the list was in some way or another, an attractive person, which is why I voted the way I did.
No I wouldn't do cosmo or DDD or whatever, because they're my friends and that's just fucking awkward. But, when I was about 17 I genuinely though that i was a bi-sexual. Because I watched lesbian porn, constantly. I was fascinated with it. And I fantasized constantly about being with other women. I still do that, though for me it's just a fantasy now, that i don't care about being fulfilled, because I know I'm down with the men.
And I have had "relations" with a woman before. *shrug*
I think the purpose of this thread is to confess to everyone on here that Q has gotten a whopping boner while reading about you girls "doin' each other"...

this is how i feel. noticing and appreciating other people's beauty is a perfectly normal thing. but i feel it gets to a point where it verges on ridiculing the gay community.

Has anyone explained that there is a difference between being a lesbian and being open to trying things just for the hell of it? Having sexual relations with an occasional woman doesn't make you a "faux" lesbian unless you're pretending to enjoy women exclusively.
Girls of a certain age have always been more intimate with each other than boys can understand. But then, I was never a teenage boy. Maybe teenage boys were more intimate with each other than I knew.

GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE, FAKER! WE'RE NOT IMPRESSED!!!!!!
I'm pretty private when it comes to my sexuality, but I'm not ashamed to admit that I have fantasized about women, I am comfortable with finding other ladies attractive, and would more than likely get intimate with another female given the right circumstances with the right person. Whether that will ever happen, I don't know. I doubt I will feel like I've been deprived of anything extremely meaningful if it never happens, because casual sex isn't really my thing, and I know that that's all it would be considering the fact that I would never seek a relationship with another woman.
Them's the facts. Do I say this or feel this way because it might be appealing to men? Fuck no. That's just how it is, and it's not uncommon for sexually active females in my age bracket to feel the same way.

If someone who I tend to think of as attractive physically is an ass, then that person starts to look like shit to me.
The converse is true--often, I'll see someone and maybe I'm not too attracted to him physically and then once I get to know him, see that he's kind and good, that influences the way I see him physically.
Interesting, that. Attractive guys who are cruel or overly sarcastic or selfish, uncaring--damn, those are such huge detractors, so much that a smile will look like a sneer and in general, they just become so damn physically ugly and overall unappealing to me. I find it amazing how nature works like that.

there is no flaw or fault in experimenting.
there is no flaw in bisexuality.
or in "trying new things".
my point is that i think the vast majority of you are liars....
you don't really find other women attractive in a sexual way, any more than you do a cute puppy or a fluffy bunny rabbit.
and that you are bordering on disrespecting the REAL gay community (as Zorra said).
if any of you truly are gay or bi...and your sentiments are sincere...then this doesn't apply to you...
but the majority of you....eat it.
seriously....it's really tantamount to the white whigger at the mall yelling "YO, MY NIGGA!"

a very small minority of the population is gay.
as far a bisexuality....that's anyone's guess....
but just a basic understanding of evolutionary history, psychology (from Kinsey on...) you know that it can't possibley be as prevalant as the women on here pretend it to be.
already a couple have admitted that they have no real sexual interest in women....despite the constant lesbian comments.
it's disrespectful to those that can't just "choose" to be "kinda lesbo" when it seems funny or exciting.
it's classless.
You're a bright guy, but you tend to generalize and limit/box/label and you're maybe just basing that on your own experiences. It's confining and doesn't do much for credibility/debate.
well of course i'm basing on my own experiances, travels, research, etc.
of course i'm generalizing to an extent ...
that's eccential when you debate about sociological issues.
NO ONE knows EVERYONE in the world and knows what EVERYONE thinks...
that's impossible.
but that shouldn't automatically hault any debate on such matters.
the "you don't know everyone or what they're thinking" attacks are just silly and can be applied to ANY debate or discussion anywhere, anytime.
it's redundant.
that can be applied right down the to trivial and miniscule....
like when you are lecturing your son about some action or matter that you believe he did wrong in his past.
do you KNOW what he is was thinking? do you KNOW every trivial fact of the matter at hand and the thoughts of EVERY person involved?

I'm not an expert in this field, but I thought Kinsey's research led him to conclude that the population doesn't fall neatly into the categories of homosexuality or heterosexuality. Most people fall somewhere in between--it's a fluid sort of thing.
Two things that I think about: A lot has changed wrt attitude--especially given the sexual climate of the 60s; I don't know if the studies done 65-70 years ago necessarily reflect contemporary views and practices. And I think I mentioned that a lot of my female hetero friends are attracted to the female body, yet if they participated in a research study, they'd say they were hetero despite their fantasies, desires, and (in some cases) experiences. Labels don't mean too much.
If people here say a thing, I have no cause to suspect them or accuse them of lying. If their actions clearly and consistently contradict their statements, I'd MAYBE question it if it or they meant something to me (i.e., if I'm friends with one of them). Otherwise, I'd let it go.
Last thing about perspective and experiential stuff. If I made conclusions based solely on my own experiences, I'd be so shit out of luck. One of the things that's been a longstanding struggle for me to do is to break that tendency and to expand my thinking and reasoning, stretching those beyond just my own experiences. It's a challenge for me but it's a good one.

If you want to call it a "battle line" then fine.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think the guys, self included, who make jokes like they are gay are just as silly as the girls who make lesbian comments, and shouldn't be taken seriously.
Both could be seen offensive and disrespectful to gay people who face real discrimination and prejudice for their sexual orientation. I also think that the people that make these type of comments would not make them infront of a gay person real life that they were not cool with.
By the way, you're kind sexy when you're angry.
see, now you're just gonna muddy up the issue with "well, what about when you make gay jokes, or use the word "gay" negatively....and when blah blah"
it's painfully obvious when the guys on here make patently absurd comments to each other like "nice ass, mike!" or some shit.
there is no insinuation of true homosexual interest.
if you wanna debate the political correctness of that...that's another topic.
but when a certain large circle of female posters on here CONSTANTLY make lesbian remarks about finding other's attractive and wanting to have sex with them...and really make no effort to say it's only a joke....that's classless, it's a lie, and it's for attention. it's very obvious they want to be taken half seriously at least.
they want the guys to think "maybe she is bi!" . they want guys to fantasize about them. they want the attention.
plus they like the "seemingly harmless" thrill of presenting themselves that way. they feel excited, adventerous....so current. free!
it's a fuckin fad, for christ sake.
it's the white suburban kid wearing FUBA and gold chains and urban slang.
it's lower middle class chick putting thousands on credit cards to wear the most expensive clothes and drive cars she can't afford.
it's that dorky loser who comes to college, and suddenly dreads his hair, "LOVES" phish and moe, trades in all his button-downs for hemp clothes, hoodies and drum circles.
it's people being who they are not, being what they don't know...and exploiting it for attention and acceptance or adventure.

correct, he did not find the population to fall neatly...more a slide-rule than anything.
basically a chart from 0-6 (0 being straight, 6 being gay).
he found most fall in mostly 0, 1 or 2, very few 3...and the gay population fall in 5 and 6, some 4.

Aww, why so harsh on the loser college students? Yes, posturing and poseur-ing is annoying and forced but it's not so bad and I think it's necessary for young people to try new things because they feel confused about who they are. They try out different identities and they experiment with the responsibility of sexual suggestion before they finally find their true selves. Didn't you ever do or say something when you were younger that in retrospect seems incredibly stupid and false and insincere for you? It's part of finding autonomy, right?
I think this adolescent experimental behavior carries into people's twenties or even early thirties because; most jobs that pay livable wages require or favor college degrees; most colleges are just means to prolonged adolescence - not quite the specific career/adult training they maybe should be; most people are unable to complete college in four years because they have to work as well as go to school to afford the rising cost of tuition - all this results in a prolonged adolescence for college students and recent grads who are in their mid-late twenties; through the 70s and 80s there was a rise in the trend of adults going to therapy, exploring their "inner children", finding themselves, etc.; increasingly common sexually charged images more readily available to the public free on internet has created the trend of the pornalized female who, along with being designed to attract men alone, also engages in lesbian sex as men wish her to.
Just my theories though.
And hey, even if what you are saying is intelligent and sound and well-meaning, the style of the delivery shouldn't be ignored or underestimated. It's like talking with spinach in your teeth, no one's going to take you seriously. Sure it's just spinach and ideally how you look (or sound) is not as important as what you are saying - but the debate team competes in suits you know. So it pays to spell things correctly and to deliver your arguement politely without being abrasive, if you want people to take you seriously. This whole tough medicine approach is a waste of your energy unless you just enjoy it.

Bisexuality
Males:
Kinsey estimated that nearly 46% of the male population had engaged in both heterosexual and homosexual activities, or "reacted to" persons of both sexes, in the course of their adult lives (p. 656, Male). 11.6% of white males (ages 20-35) were given a rating of 3 (about equal heterosexual and homosexual experience/response) on the 7-point Kinsey Heterosexual-Homosexual Rating Scale for this period of their lives (Table 147, p. 651, Male).
Females:
Kinsey found only a very small portion of females with exclusively homosexual histories. He reported that between 6 and 14% of females (ages 20-35) had more than incidental homosexual experience in their histories. (p. 488, Female). 7% of single females (ages 20-35) and 4% of previously married females (ages 20-35) were given a rating of 3 (about equal heterosexual and homosexual experience/response) on the 7-point Kinsey Heterosexual-Homosexual Rating Scale for this period of their lives.(Table 142, p. 499, Female).
that's 11.5% of males and 4-7% of females were in the bisexual range.

my point is that i think the vast majority of you are liars....
you don't really find other women attractive in a sexual way, any more than you do a cute puppy or a fluffy bunny rabbit.
I don't know who lies and who doesn't. I believe that most people have sexual fantasies that fall outside of the mainstream in some way. There are some who fantasize about being hookers and there are even some who fantasize about being raped. It's a wild, wild world out there.
Believe it or not, Q, we're not all attention seeking prima donnas like you.
That's very well put, and describes my feelings when I was your age. I'll add that I never tended to be attracted to lesbians, but to other straight women.
And again, men and women are different. And it appears that lines are far more blurred with sexual roles than in my youth. I have a feeling it's because when I was young, it was the worst thing in the world to be a lesbian and you would never have been able to same sex attractions. Then again, in my grandmother's youth, men and women both wrote very lovey-dovey letters to members of the same sex. There was an intimacy that men today would find appalling.
I'd also like to point out that androgynous rock stars have been popular for decades. One school of thought is that young girls would rather worship a feminine young male because it's less threatening. Another school of thought is that straight men get to get off in a mildly homosexual way without admitting it. The first school is the teen idol, and the second school is the young Mick Jagger et al. I agree with enree that the lines tend to be blurred.

You do realize you are a total Communist, right?
The way you try to make everyone fit into their little catagories. Everything is black and white with you isn't it? People are either are gay or they aren't. They're either "real Lesbos" or "fake Lesbos", no in-between allowed.
The real question I have for "Qdrop" is why such "fake" behavior annoys you so much that you needed to make this thread. It's pretty clear you intended to create a lightning rod with the tone of your initial post.
Was it just a vehicle for you to announce to the people here that you have a gay sibling? Maybe this is how you're going about getting your share of the attention from the people of this Message Board today?
I also have a sister who is a lesbian and the silly lesbian-esque comments the girls make towards each other on here don't offend me at all. It's just girls joking with one another.
As for any discrimination your sister may have to suffer through in her life, while I feel bad about that, hopefully she accepts it as just "Part of the territory" like my sister does. Not everyone in life is going to accept you, it's their loss, not your sisters, and not every lesbo in life has as "Communist" of an attitude towards their sexuality as QDrop does.
hey, fuck you.

step away and let the big girls handle it.I stopped reading here, but did you intend to be condescending to nuzz and enree?
BTW, I actually agreed with cmute somewhere in here. Joking about being gay and patting your teammate on the ass is a hetero guy's way of saying, "I'd do you."

That's very well put, and describes my feelings when I was your age. I'll add that I never tended to be attracted to lesbians, but to other straight women.
I think that tends to be the case for most young, experimental women who are, for the most part, attracted to men. There's something desirable about the idea of experiencing sexual intimacy with another heterosexual woman just out of curiosity, knowing fully well that it's not because I think I'm gay, but because I'm attracted to and respect other females for their beauty and understanding of our mutual feminine sexuality.
It has nothing to do with trends or male reactions.
And though I'm only speaking for myself here, I'm sure a lot of the women who are being accused of lying and seeking attention will probably agree with me.

that's pretty much the stupidest insult i have ever recieved.
and to think you had to make an alias to say that.
once again, never did i even ONCE say that people could not be bisexual.
i never once said that it's all black and white.
i simply stated that i believe virtually every woman on this board making bullshit lesbian comments (that's about 8-10 of you) is full of shit, and doing so for attention.
and that it degrades those who truly are gay, and don't "choose" to be so cause it's fun and exciting.
don't get it twisted.
don't create strawmen.
dont' spin it.

i don't believe i did, but hey, if you can dig one up (and i'm sure you will if it exists, soley to prove me wrong), then i shall re-analyze what you've posted to see if you were trying to fit my post into some particular niche.
i don't have that many posts to search under this name, so you should be finished with it and on to search the Beth ones fairly quickly.
