I used to spend-up all the time. Now, it's only sometimes. But enough chit-chat.

Sigur-Ros:Takk
Marc Bolan:Electric Warrior
Burial (thanks Parkey, you got the scoops)
Something by Pink Floyd (cause I've never bought an album, just stolen them. I'm thninking about The Wall, but I want to be told otherwise.)
And why can't I find Desert Sessions under 'D'?
Oh, and that new Busta if it's built the same McHiphop way that 'The Documentary' was.

But please, help me. Cause this time I'm trying.

I liked Takk, and I've got Desert Sessions. Are you getting them for the packaging and whatnot or just because downloading/copying is too hard?

Electric Warrior is badass, in a Marc Bolan way. if you see Desert Sessions vol 1 & 2 on any format you should get it. they're getting pretty rare nowadays and the CDs are going for $150 on ebay

ANY Desert Sessions. Where are they?

they're everywhere. I found vol 9 & 10 in a discount bin for 10 of New Zealand's dollars.

you could probably find some on ebay.com.au or trademe.co.nz

I don't see why anyone will tell you different on buying Pink Floyd the Wall. It's an excellent c.d. but, if you can find Echos, it's more valuable because it has an assortment of songs from all thier albums:

Disc: 1
1. Astronomy Domine
2. See Emily Play
3. The Happiest Day of Our Lives
4. Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)
5. Echoes
6. Hey You
7. Marooned
8. The Great Gig in the Sky
9. Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun
10. Money
11. Keep Talking
12. Sheep
13. Sorrow

Disc: 2
1. Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts 1-7)
2. Time
3. The Fletcher Memorial Home
4. Comfortably Numb
5. When the Tigers Broke Free
6. One of These Days
7. Us And Them
8. Learning to Fly
9. Arnold Layne
10. Wish You Were Here
11. Jug Band Blues
12. High Hopes
13. Bike

Kinda like a greatest hits.

I made a thread down there that isn't quite sucessfull but if you want to buy or get into something new, I'll always recommend Clutch.

Burning Beard (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGbDY1llCEw)-is on their most recent-Robot Hive/Exodus

Mercury/Profits of Doom (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUxwUsuUwuY)-these are live but they're off of Blast Tyrant. It came out just before Robot Hive and is my personal favorite album from them. Profits of Doom is probably one of my most favorite songs.

Hopefully I helped you out a little(y)

I'd go with Lapalco.

I had a leaked version of it that I really liked a lot. When the retail version of it came out soon after that, I was kinda disappointed with some of the glossy production. But it's still worth checking out. His voice can be a little irritating though. But it's a pop album, so whatever. Download the song 'Tiny Spark' to get a feel for it. You'll enjoy.

If not "The wall" then you should definately consider "Dark side of the moon".

Im thinking of buying a bunch of albums:

"Pauls Boutique" - Beastie Boys

"TT5B" - Beastie Boys

"10.000 days" - Tool

Something by Frank Zappa, I would love any reccomendations. I already have "Sheik Yerbouti" and "Over-nite sensation" and i dont know where to continue, he has made more than 70 albums if im not mistaken.

I think Wish You Were Here's the most consistently enjoyable Pink Floyd album.

Electric Warrior is a no-brainer. (y)

For Pink Floyd, I'd snag Dark Side of the Moon first.

Listen to samples of Can's Ege Bamyasi. Seriously. You'll be surprised.

Besides "The Wall" or "Dark Side of the Moon," if you wanted to go for some Syd Barret-era Floyd, I highly recommend "Relics." That's a good cross section of their early days and they had some cute, demented pop songs then.

that's the only one i got. :)

i was thinking about buying Midnight Love, but maybe i should go with some other album first.

or just do what i did with Dylan; bought [almost] every goddamn album of his within two months. i just need a lot of money and desire.

it's fairly decent I must say and they're working on another one, it should be out soon this year.

and Kid P. I still would say go with Echoes for Floyd. You can't go wrong man, it's got some of the best songs for almost every album.

Oh, I got the Stubbs the Zombie soundtrack and they do have a good riff on there.

Props for the advice, it's a perfect c.d.(y)

I've got Dummy and Maxinquaye. My feelings on triphop always go back and forth after listening to it for a long time though. If you like those then be sure
to check out The Sneaker Pimps.

Dummy is definitly worth having.

Cheers (y)

Blue Lines (Massive Attack) has been one of my favourite albums for the last few years, same with Leftism...so I feel like venturing back into some trip hop. Aftermath and Suffocated Love, the former in particular, I've been playing for ages too so it's about time I got the first Tricky one.

I wound up doing some listening, and went with 'Pulse' if only for the live performance of Dark Side in its entirety.

And I also got RA the Rugged Man's 'Die, Rugged Man, Die', Flaming Lips 'At war with the mystics' and a reissue of Rob Swifts' 'Soulful Fruit'.

I couldn't find any Desert Sessions, the store had sold 9 & 10 a little whilke ago, so I'm thinking about ordering it. I'll end up answering this question myself when I google it, but is 'I wanna make it wit chu' on an earlier DS?

Drederick Tatum

If you're going to order some Desert Sessions you may as well get 3&4. 9&10 are nothing special.

midnight love should be one of the last albums of his you buy. after all, it was his last studio album. if you were to continue the trend from "what's going on" this is how you would do it, let's get it on, i want you, here my dear, vulnerable, trouble man soundtrack, in my lifetime, and midnight love.

personally, i don't even really listen to midnight love. my favorite album of his is here, my dear. it's a concept album that he made for his divorced wife.

if you are more into his radio friendly tunes then go with let's get it on and midnight love.

if you like easy listening/ballad then definetly go with vulnerable; it's absolutely beautiful.

if you just want a complete overview including the early stuff and tammi terrell, mary wells, kim weston, and diana ross collabs then go with "the master 1961-1984"
