this recipe is like crack, i tell you.
red potatoes (approx 8): wash them, and place as many as you can on the bottom of the crock pot, one layer only.
layer baby carrots over that.
3 lb rump roast (or whatever cut you like): wash it first, then place it on top of the carrots.
1 can cream of mushroom soup: spread some of it on top of the roast, then evenly spread the rest of it on top of the visible carrots.
1 packet lipton beefy onion soup mix: sprinkle it over everything.
1 small can pieces and stems mushrooms: evenly distribute over everything.
do not add water. it will make it's own gravy.
put the crock pot on low all day. if you want it ready in six hours, keep it on low the first two hours and then high for the remainder. if you leave it on high the entire time, the potatoes and carrots will be burned on the edges because the gravy takes time to make itself.
bobby made sandwiches with the leftovers:
toasted bread
smear some gravy on the bread
thick slice of already warmed beef
slice of cheese
microwave for 15 seconds
add salt, pepper and spicy mustard.
dunk in gravy.
god, i'm gonna get fat.
