Beastie Boys Guest DJ On Little Radio

Veteran Little Radio guest DJs and NYC's master hip-hop trio Beastie Boys will be back and live on the digital air on Little Radio this Thursday June 8 at 10:30 AM PST.

Mike D, MCA & Ad-Rock will be chatting and playing some music with Little Radio live from their downtown Manhattan studio, Ocilloscope. If you've heard their past shows on Little Radio, you know how fun this show is. If not, you should tune in.

Beastie Boys are also on the eve of releasing their first film, Awesome: I Fuckin' Shot That on DVD July 25.

oh i was replying to JMoney i guess you beat me to the post but anyways when you reply theres a tool on the toolbar that has an "A" with a black line under it and a down arrow. click it and choose a color:D

and then it will show something like this "write in the middle" [color/]

i've only heard the one with adrock hosting it by himself with Cey and it was pretty good but don't expect a full show of hip hop. theres all kinds of music here and there.

They've just hung out at played music. It had a college radio-type vibe.

I hope they talk a little about AIFST and the whole Sundance/SXSW experience, the upcoming DVD, Yauch's film, and any other shit they've been up to.

well yes and no. in general east coast us is GMT -5. though during daylight savings time, you always add 1 hour to GMT, which makes 1:30 EST (eastern standard time, techinically it should say EDT eastern daylight savings time, but is in general ignorred to prevent confusion) GMT -4.

but yeah if you want to know what time the radio show will be on in england, it would still be 1.30 pm + 5 hours = 6.30 pm since both countries are on daylight savings time. so if you're in england right now you are in fact on GMT +1 just because of the daylight savings time. GMT stays the same all year round.

okay to clear any confusion:

1. ignore any talk about GMT. GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) is just an international time zone based in greenwhich, england. this time zone is also known as UTC (Universal Time). someone brought this time zone up and it became a discussion.

2. the radio show starts at 1:30PM EST (Eastern Standard Time) and ends at 3:30PM EST, which is the local time for eastern US. Time for other countries are what you are used to i.e. UK 1:30PM + 5 hours = 6:30PM etc.

3. if the banner on the main index of beastieboys.com states 3PM - 5PM it is because your cache for your browser hasn't been updated. what you're seeing is an old image for previous radio shows. Try either hitting refresh multiple times or clearing your cache and it should show the correct image.
