I wish I could open a burlesque club

in my town. well I mean I could...but it would take alot of money I don't have. and establishing a nightclub is really difficult, liquor licences all that stuff, I'd have to get a loan or entrepauers or somethig.

So How many of you have started your own business? How did you get started? was/is it sucessful?

scottish enterprise. business gateway. young people isht. i'm sure your area has some sort of schemes like these. you need to be serious, though. and have a business plan.

i would assume you would have to pay your burlesque "talent" and employing staff is a totally different kettle of, uh, fish.

Great book on burlesque and even fetish (one side is burlesque, flip it over and it's fetish). Made me want to try burlesque! But I'm not at all graceful enough. I did start wearing pin-curls and I really wanted to start shopping for some of those clothes :o

i'd like to open like a really cool lounge/bar kinda thing. there's a few places like that here, but not big enough. only cool people allowed in. and i'd like to open a theme bar or something. that would be cool. and joe would like to open a toy store.
