Hey guys, everytime post an image from either imageshack or photobucket it seems to be half the size of everbody elses.

Do you have any tips for this?

cheers

My guess is that those hosting sites are automatically resizing your photos because they're too big (in terms of file size) under their rules...You should try compressing them before you upload them to keep them their original resolution.

actually, i dont think imageshack resizes pictures, but anyway i'm not even sure what you are asking. and what it's got to do with this website/message board :o

woah there, if i'm posting a picture here, it has everything to do with this website/message board.

The image size I used (for instance) in the witty comic thread is the same size as everybody elses post's. I resized my image in photoshop to make sure of that. Yet it still reduces in size when posted here.

I'm not saying it's the message boards fault, I just asked for tips

TPK's a little sensitive at the moment...he takes everything as a dis to this website.

The board doesn't resize your images, so it must be something to do with the image host. Maybe try another host? Or make sure the actual file size (in KB) is less than the upper limit the host sets, rather than the image dimensions.

if you're using imageshack there is a checked box that says something like 'do you want us to resize your image'. uncheck that. (y)
