Dr. Hook is probably the greatest band that ever existed. Period

I have Sloppy Seconds and it's Choice through and through but to add the BB's in the shotgun Ammo was today when I bought the Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show DVD today. They are fucked up 6 ways from Sunday and it shows but you never hear it. It's almost like you're watching a band that comes in and plays in your garage after you all do gravity hits from a 2 liter and rails from a mirror that's head to toe

Plus they have a member that wears a patch on his eye. By God, he's a Pirate! And he wears a cowboy hat! So he's a Pirate Cowboy! That's deuce for a score

Dr. Hook knows your mom's phone number and call her when Dad's on his "Business Trips"

Funny you should ask

These guys were one of the last dinosaurs that were all about sex, drugs and rocknroll. Though they were almost country. But the sex and drugs part they were all about. You might know "Cover of the Rolling Stone" or "When You're in Love w/ a Beautiful Woman" but pound for pound "The Queen of the Silver Doller" has more meat on it. A great song that tells a story. "Freakers at the Freakers Ball" is a great song of decadence and a celebration of it. Good Times. But, this DVD is spot on. A band smashed out of their mind and still hitting all the notes.
