A barrage of Israeli artillery shells rained down on a busy Gaza beach yesterday, killing seven Palestinians, three of them children. The attack put further strain on the 16-month truce between Israel and the governing Hamas movement.

Witnesses described several explosions that also injured dozens of other people who lay on the beach, screaming and pleading for help. Some ran into the sea for fear of more shells hitting the sands at Beit Lahia, in the north of the Gaza strip.

Come on Soba, they were using artillery, that's fine. It's not like they were aiming trying to kill the people they were firing on. Any deaths were purely coincidental. And it's not like they sacrificed themselves in the process of trying to kill people. It doesn't count, right Enigma? Totally different scales, morally speaking.

wow. that wasn't foreseeable.
The Hamas military wing called off its truce with Israel, after 10 Palestinians were killed by shells fired into a crowded beach in the Gaza Strip where a family was picnicking.
All of the dead are believed to be related.

Is there a reason why these people were shelled besides just being Palestinian?
this was not an act of war...nobody committed suicide (n)
why is God's blessed land soaked with blood?

I don't think I was defending Israel, or ever really have defended Israel.
I certainly don't think they are all ahead of the Palestinians in terms of morality.

Which goes to prove my point that your defence of the US army is jingoism.

that would require his views on American military aggression and Israeli military aggression to, at one time, have been the same.

Nine Palestinians, including two children, have been killed and up to 20 others hurt in an Israeli air strike in Gaza, witnesses and doctors say.

Actually, it is people like yourself who talk with such conviction over occurences that you rarely observe firsthand that fester terrorism.

From that source, let's have a look at some of the "first hand observations"...
However, in Gaza, the group Human Rights Watch said the evidence it has been able to gather suggests that a 155 mm artillery shell, like the type used by the Israeli military, was responsible.
Not that it is particularly relevent. Since when has "yes miss, but HE did it first..." justified anything?

Abbas said: "What Israel is doing is called state terrorism. This state terrorism will not shake us."
