But do you like roller coasters? I've noticed people who enjoy roller coasters also love to fly, and vice versa.
Roller coasters make me shaky and dizzy, so um...yeah. :(

Yes, in fact, I do love roller coasters. :(
Make sure you chew lots of gum on the plane so as to alleviate some of the pressure in your head from the altitude change. Best advice I can give you.

Not only is it your first time in Canada, but you'll actually be around for Canada Day. Now you can get drunk and see fireworks 3 days earlier than you normally would've. ;)

On Canada Day, usually drinking Canadian beer and screaming along with local music and fireworks. Mostly drinking though. Maybe some wildfires. Destruction of property. Yeah.
Don't forget now, Canada also has the lynx. Shit'll bite your crotch.
QueenAdrock
06-11-2006, 10:12 PM
Destruction of property? I'd put you Canadians to SHAME. Don't forget that I graduated from University of Maryland. We have the SWAT team called in whenever we have a basketball game, because winning and losing BOTH mean tearing down Route 1 and toppling over a bus.

Well, on Canada Day 2001, there were riots in Edmonton's Whyte Avenue area (it hasn't been the same since, the police are ALWAYS there and the hockey hooligans burning shit and breaking windows after the Oilers win a game hasn't made them disappear either). I'm sure you'll personally start a riot much bigger than all the people's efforts in 2001 combined! (y)

Whatever. Bring a sammich to the airport for me.
When I was little, my parents had to go to the airport a lot to see relatives. It would always be someone we barely knew who had a layover here. Once it was my cousin's Polish mother in law who spoke almost no English but gave my dad some liquor. It was a 45 minute drive to the airport in each direction and it was so stupid. You used to be able to walk out to the gate, meet the plane, and have a drink at the bar without going through all the security. Now of course you can't even get inside unless you have a ticket.
We also used to have cheap relatives who called us from the airport because it wasn't long distance. I guess long distance used to be really expensive. Or maybe my distant relatives were really cheap.
My sister about died when the cousins started moving to the west coast and having layovers in Seattle. :)
