I remember cosmo making a thread like this but I don't want to search for it because I'm lazy!

So, what is that party drink that has "punch" in the title and how do I make it?

Also, more suggestions for party drinks would be good (it's a house warming slash BBQ). Thanks :)

jello shots! or maybe that's too college for a housewarming party, i don't know, i've never been to one.

i once had an absynthe shot. it tasted horrible and it was solid as a brick, but i did like 5 of them. nothing happened though. it should be noted that i was already drunk, however.

i probably should have just taken the bottle

I actually was thinking about making jello shots since I love them. If no one else has them, I'll take them all!

lol.

you know, you can make punch really easily with some vodka and kool aid.

OR

vodka and OJ and cranberry juice and sprite

OR

vodka and food coloring.

Every BBQ I have I make jungle juice and it is always a hit but it is STRONG so warn your guests. Below is the recipe if you want to make it. All you need is a big cooler to make it in. It's so easy.

1 gallon 190 proof grain alcohol (everclear)
1 (46 fluid ounce) can pineapple
2 gallons cherry / fruit juice
2 (4 ounce) packets sweetened tropical punch flavored drink mix powder (optional)
1 gallon water
6 apples, cored and sliced with peel
6 oranges, sliced into rounds
30 seedless green grapes
20 strawberries, hulled
4 lemons, sliced
4 limes, sliced
*I usually also add a 2 liter of sprite right before serving

I ususally make it the night before to let the fruit soak up the booze and it actually tastes better after settleing. I substitute the lemons / limes with a few of those frozen fruit packages because it can get too tart. Make it in a cooler and throw a ladel on it and people can just scoop out a glass.

Hahaha...Sangria. My mortal enemy.

Go with Rum Runners, Pina Coladas, and Berry Margaritas. You can buy the Bacardi concentrate cans at the store (in the freezer aisle), get a handle of rum, a ton of ice, and a blender. Presto. Easy as pie.

I recommend the rum runners the most. (y)

mescal tequila and isotonic lucozade slammers! see if you can get past 4 in half an hour and be on your feet an hour later!

Also 1 can guinness, 1 can Dunn's River Nurishment, large amount of rum... and ice. its a Dunn's River and its popular with my Jamaican friends. And me.:D

I like Irish car bombs (pint glass of Guinness, shot glass-1/2 Bailey's and 1/2 some Irish whiskey but I can't remember which one, drop the shot into the Guinness and chug before it spills over).

Those are so fucking good you end up drinking them down like milk and next thing you know you are completely fucked up.

Not exactly a party drink but it gets the job done and oh, so tasty!:D

Make a few pitchers of Bacardi Limonade.

Make lemonade with whatever powdered lemonade mix you can find, but use half water, and half Bacardi Limon.

It's one of those "You don't realize how much alchohol is it in" kinda drinks.

But you can't drink a ton of it. Too Sweet.

i think jameson is the whiskey. also, you need to drink it superfast because if you don't, the baileys curdles and turns into chunks....i found this out the hard way

a nice shot is just jameson and baileys in a shotglass. it tastes like hot chocolate. it's a cold drink, but since it's alcoholic, it warms you on the way down, it's delicious. dangerous, but delicious.

Its hard to get here too but if you are on a first name basis with the liquor store owner he can order it for you. *cough*

I know you can get it online....and if you cant then you can just substitute it with a few gallons of vodka.

mescal tequila

FYI:
Tequila vs. Mescal
All tequilas are Mezcal, but not all Mezcal is Tequila. There are key differences:

Tequila
From agave grown in the Jalisco region.
Uses only juice from Blue gave.
Agave cooked inside ovens or autoclaves.
Quality of tequila is monitored by Mexican government through the NORMA law.
Never has a worm.

Mezcal
From agave grown in the region on Oaxaca.
Uses juice from eight different varieties of agave, most notably Espadin.
Agave roasted in underground charcoal ovens, which yields a very smoky taste.
Frequently has a worm.

there may be a bunch of different punch recipes on drinksmixer.com. i could have searched, but i'm lazy.

we used to call it hunch punch. i sorta never liked that it was mixed in a cooler though. i guess because i know the kind of shit my cooler has been through.

is there a millitary/coast guard base near by? I had a friend in the coast guard who could get it on base at thier auxillary liquour store.

sometimes it's easier to find a 5th of everclear. around here some of the places carry it in the smaller bottles because people make tinctures with it.
