men's summer wardrobes.

i think they are a curious beast. very curious. i'd be interested to know what the men of this board wear in the summer.

for instance, most of the men i know seem determined to where their normal garb all year round. my flatmate scott especially. i'm currently uploading some festival pics for sureshots from the weekend - it was about 28 degrees and he was wearing a leather jacket and black jeans. they just seem to want to sweat it out.

if pushed, they just seem to wear the same stuff but BRIGHTER!.

others fall under the category of "i'll buy some summery shirts and shorts and what not, but i will only wear this isht on holiday, never in my community where - gasp! - people actually know me!"

i don't know anyone who would wear vests. vests! or wife-beaters, whatever you guys call them (where the fuck does that term come from anyhoo eh? heh.). does anyone wear vests here? good on them. do you bare your arms? my boyfriend thinks he's too much of a chubster to expose any upper arm craziness.

shorts? that's normal, i guess, but i know there are some boys out there who won't even wear them!

sandals? i still find it curious to meet men wearing sandals. man-feet!

i honestly want to know your summer wardrobe ethic. you men have a hard time making seasonal fashion choices!

I wear pants pretty much year round. I mean, if it's really hot or I'm playing a sport or something I'll make exceptions - but I definitly wear pants a good 90% of the time. I just don't like the way shorts work with me.

I very rarely go out during the week, so after work I usually just throw on basketball shorts and a random T.

And if I'm getting dressed up, I pretty much wear the same things I would wear in warmer weather, just with shortsleeves.

yeah, i don't look supergood with skin showing, i generally wear long sleeves and pants whenever i can. i'm pale and i don't get out in the sun much due to my job and my personality.

if it's just too damn hot for it, i'll make an exception, because i also look ugly with sweatstains on me.

i feel bad for guys and their selection of sandals. and it seems like the ones who do manage an a'ight pair of sandals have gross feet. newsflash - it's OK for guys to get pedicures.

yes! oh yes indeedy. i mean, my feet aren't in good enough shape to be exposed to the general public, but the average man-foot? because it belongs to a man it's okay for it to look sorta nasty and wornout as it's, uh, a masculine foot?!

Yeah, feet bother me anyway. I probably should have put that in the quirks thread. I don't like to even look at another person's feet so that's an awfully icky part of the summer for me--guy feet. Girl feet are okay more often than not if I happen to catch a glimpse of them. But unshod/naked guy feet are usually just nasty. NASTY!

i wear sandals pretty much all the time unless its snowing or i know i'll be walking/running a whole lot that day. i hate wearing socks so i avoid it whenever i can.


and i'll pretty much wear shorts every day. my legs/feet generally don't get cold for a long time so summer nights are good for me to wear shorts and a jacket with my sandals
