the person next door puts her kids outside to run around and scream at an early hour. they should be inside playing playstation.

i was never one of those kids that woke up very early. i was always awake well after breakfast was served and had to fend for myself.

the family next door to our old house was funny. we had character names for them. there was angry dad, who worked in the mines, and only came home every 2weeks to yell at his family, then go back to the mines. his wife, 'mail order', was a little asian woman who was very quiet and copped all his shit. he used to make her start the gardening at 730am every morning. then there was the son, this poor 16 yr old kid who got abused mentally and most likely physically by angry dad. oh yeah, once when we were being too loud on a sat night, angry dad made his wife come over and tell us to turn it down, even tho u could easily tell that she didnt give a shit, and angry dad forced her to do it, freezing in her dressing gown.

but the time that sticks out the most was one new years day at 7am, when angry dad decided to build a trailer in his front yard, which included lots of angle grinding, welding, etc. and he was yelling and screaming out to his son AT 7AM ON NEW YEARS DAY to come and help him. what a prick.

We're not allowed to mow our lawn before 8am.

I usually do it at night though, after work.

My mother-in-law is one of those....except earlier. My husband and I lived with her for a little while while we were saving to buy our first house. She would literally get up at about 5:30am and start vacuuming and doing housework because it wasn't light yet to go outside in the yard. Drove us crazy(we're both sleepers). I remember one time right before we moved, she was outside at 7am on a Saturday morning scrubbing and hosing off the siding on the side of the house that our room was on....I thought my husband was going to kill her.

I use a reel push mower, which is silent. But the trimmer/edger I use beforehand is gas-powered, so that makes a bit of noise.

I don't think we're permitted to make noise before 9 am here. So I usually wait til about 5 pm-ish.

At least you don't have the neighbor in the film Moving. Arlo Pear's (Richard Pryor) neighbor Cornell Crawford ,played by Randy Quaid, had a huge hybrid lawn mower/tractor.

It is an unwritten law that the lawn will not and cannot be mowed before 8am. This miscreant of society should be force fed gasoline in his coffee cup.
The morning is a very peaceful time with birds chirping and then these a-holes decide they will be the one to break the serenity. They are the same people that argue with cashiers and go to the Hair Cuttery.

Yeah, in a speedo.
That's just uncalled for.

My pet peeve wrt neighbors and noise: This one guy who used to live in one of the row-houses on my street would let his alarm clock sound, unchecked, until it ran out, which was something like 30 minutes. That happened every morning for weeks on end--presumably, while he was out of town. The clock was set for 4:30a and it had a LOUD BUZZ . I could hear it from my bedroom because he kept his bedroom window cracked year-round.

I work at a genomic research company and I read an article recently that scientists are working on a "dwarf grass" that would only grow to about 1 to 1 1/2 inches.....you would never have to mow. THAT would be great.

I would think a scientist that researches dwarf grass is looked down upon by cancer research scientists. Kind of like a chiropractor is spat upon by a brain surgeon.

For God Sakes they should get a goat. Worked for the mexican neighorbor on Sanford and Son~or as I like to call them the quiet barn

here I have to deal with Trucks that tell over a megaphone about what they have and for how much it is in thai. At 8 PM I could care less about shuked corn or strawberries when yelled over a megaphone

I used to live across the street from a very small brush company (paint brushes, scrub brushes, etc.). The company was located behind an apartment building that was across the street from my building. This was a small, quiet, residential street, not an industrial area by no means. Anyway, the majority of the people who worked there were Mexican. These guys would pull up for work around 5-5:30 a.m., but they didn't start until 6. So what would they do to kill time? Sit in their cars right outside my living room window and play with their fucking car horns and blast mariachi music!! At 5:30 in the gotdamned morning! They would do this shit almost every fucking day.
