My husband bought me a Honda Rebel 250 cc motorcycle, he is teaching me how to drive it. Do any of you have pointers on how to get over being scared of driving a motorcycle?

Tattoo's, Beer and Leather will make the transition period seem miniscule.

See how fast you can get it.
I think that would add to my fear, not take away from it. Tonight I get to advance to third gear, my hubby thinks he has a foolproof way to teach me that won't nerve me out. We will see.

Best way, start of in an empty parking lot, or field if you have access to one. Get used to the clutch and shifting gears, and applying both front and rear brakes, never front only. Just build your way up slowly to more traffic and what not. Be careful, and enjoy.

Thank You. I think I am going to like it once I get over the jitters.

Oh, and you ride a motorcycle, not drive one.

Well see how much I know about them. LOL
