While I've never liked this song live, on disc it's good times. It sounds like the Bobo percussion may have been leftovers from IC that were looped. The bass solo is great.

I guess I really liked the sound of the whole thing the very first time I got to track 3, ya dig?

Nice message too. If hadn't been blazing at a bbq before big day out(/alitteration), and had gotten a request in, it would have been for this. Maybe they could have given it the Stand Together treatment and each rapped parts over the album instrumental. Or had MMM drop breaks and the Adams play live over the top. Like those intros to Gratitude in 98-99.

i listened to hn the other day.......after listening to tt5b for a while, it makes hn that much better......i like hn, except for the 100000 'break a dawn' references......

on a different note.....one of the many reasons the first 3 records were on point is cuz the beasties basically lived together....they wrote their rhymes together, shit interlocked....they finished each other's thoughts.......anyway......if they're hangin out doin aifst and these radio shows.....maybe we'll get that chemistry back when the next record drops in 2008......

The bass solo is great.

Hell yeah. "Bow bow bow baooooww.......buiow bow bow baooooowww."

Kindof reminds me of "I Can't Help It" from "Off the Wall"

These are excellent points, man. They ARE hanging out, and they did those little remixes. The stupid part of me hopes that after the DVD drops (which I'm pretty excited about) they would say "Oh, by the way, here's an album, too.". But they won't.

Yeah I agree with you KP aside from the fact I do enjoy that song live, although I've only heard it a few times. Well actually, iy didn't blow me away at the Glasgow gig (MTV 2 one) to be honest, but I've always had a thing for the Roskilde show in 98, and it basically rocks my socks of when I listen to that gig! Even though they fuck up a tad on the key change, but I love shit like that...anyway I'm rambling.

You wanna tell Justin to fix his sig, or should I?

Yeah...fix your sig Justin!

Although, it seems kinda common. Can't remember where I printed the lyrics off from awhile ago but it had that mistake/typo too.

After the album had been out and I'd played it out, 24/7, the live "change up" was actually refreshing for me. I really enjoyed the "fast" version a lot more than the album version for a long time. However, in pulling HN back out and listening to it in it's entirety for the first time in a while, it does go nicely at it's original tempo.

Great track. Hope to hear it live again someday.

One of Mike's strongest vocals too.

Actually, although not a 'live' issue in terms of instruments, MMM switches the tempo quite high on Sure Shot and Root Down in recent years. Just sayin.:(

Same with a lot of tempo's, nearly all the songs I've heard/seen live from TT5B have all been faster. I always know cos when I play them on record it always hit's me how slow they sound, till I get used to them again.

I'm sorta glad I never heard Slow n Low from Pageant, that wouldn't be right. It simply would not be the tempo.

It kinda kills Time to Build. Makes Pass the Mic sound sweet though.

Yes, "Remote Control" is a really good song, although ever since hearing "Hey Mama" by the Black Eyed Peas, I always think the Jamaican person at the beginning of the song is Fergie.

I always loved this song, and the lyrics are really cool. Never heard it live though.

hey, i was listening to it again and i heard the 'new song' thing, but it sounded to me kinda like 'new soul' or 'your soul' or something with soul....so now either it IS remote control...or we both can't hear? :o

I just listened to it again and it does sound like soul! Atleast something that starts with an S, it's hard to tell though 'cause it blends in and I got bad hearing.

I've always enjoyed the album version over the live version. I'm not sure if it's the special effect they put on Mike's voice or what...but the live versions just fall short.

MMM has also sped up SWW in the past.

their most underrated single i'd say, amazing song, mike D's delivery makes the song, consistently give me chills when i listen to it, unfortunately it' shard vocally to live up to live
