Venom in the comics as well as cartoon show is the alter ego of Spider-Man.....in some his orgin is being an alien spibeote that bonds to Peter Parker some how, thus Spider man becomes Venom, but some how (the cartoon shows through the use of high pitch sound) Peter gets rid of the Alien that had started to change his personality...given that the cartoon (Fox Kids) was on point to an extent to the comics (so saids my pops an avid Marvel fan) it seems weird on how they will bring Venom to come to be in this movie.

Venom was Peter Parker, then Eddie Brock (from the cartoon any way) becomes venom. Eddie was a coworker of Peters at the Daily Buggle, and is taken over the by the Alien. It should be intresting on how they make this work for the movie.

i know someone who went to watch the filming of it and got to be an extra in the wall street scene. he also got to talk to sam raimi who said he had wanted to focus more on venom but the studios wouldnt have it. he also met 'peter parker's boss who's actually bald.

hmmmm they must be wanting to save Venom for the 4th one I would gather.....or else not to feature him huge in this film will be the biggest mistake next to not letting Mr. Remy LeBeaux have his time to shine

He's in that Kyra Sedgwick series; he gets to just be bald there, from the photo I saw.
