View Full Version : Do you leave yourself messages?

...sometimes I call my home phone and remind myself of whatever (make sure you oil your bike chain); sometimes I'm at home and call my work voice mail (remember to post on the message board tomorrow).

Occasionally, I'm caught in the act, and some people smile in recognition, and some people think it's really weird to leave myself a message.

Do you do this?

Heck, sometimes I even sign off "Love ya!" but it drips with sarcasm. :)

no, never, i hate hearing my voice. sometimes i'll be on the phone and there'll be this sort of echo, so i can hear myself while i'm talking and it creeps me out.-

I write myself notes at night so I can read them in the bathroom in the morning. Usually post-its with little hearts etc.

I just put reminders on my phone. They will beep with your message at any time of any day, you can even put a reminder for one year in advance TO THE SECOND.

Technology roolz OK.

On my cellular phone, in the calendar bit, you just type in the message and it'll beep and come up with it whenever you want.

Yes. I invite myself to hang out on the weekend.

I rarely check my answering machine. In fact, I rarely get calls on the phone that's in my house. If anyone calls, they usually call my cell phone. So sincd I don't check my machine, leaving a message there wouldn't be effective. I do send myself mail, though, and I use online calendars to post private remind-its to myself.

I never tell myself that I love me, though.

i write what i need to remember on post its as i think of them...if i get down onto a third page i really got to sort that top page out. i get so much more done these days.

i reckon loads of other people just forget stuff they think of and dont recall forgetting, so they dont think its wierd when they "remember" again in front of me as if it's the first time!

i laughed when i watched the film memento!:D

I do not call my phone and leave messages -- what would mrs marsdaddy or the kids think? Lately, I have been reminding mrs. marsdaddy to remind me about something. I also take copius notes and refer back to the notebook frequently. Arrows and asterisks are like love notes.

I also put some cheerios in my pocket when I'm on a business trip so I know someone is watching my cholesterol...sorry, a reference to a commercial for the foreigners and non-tv watchers in the crowd.

if I feel I've really screwed something up, I travel backwards through time and stop myself from doing said thing.

Those things are all fun, too, you know. :p
