What do you think of this?
My buddy just hit me with this link (http://www.ebaumsworld.com/2006/06/waterfuel.html).
And this one (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=660759158947266385&q=hydrogen+car). If you want the gist, fwd to the 14 min area. ;)
Check it out, yo.

Here's some more fuel for the fire.
This site (http://www.waterfuelcell.org/) is dedicated to Stanley Meyer's research.

A little off topic of this thread. But I figured someone might find this interesting. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsJAlrYjGz8)

water is already the most precious rescource we have, kids are dying because they dont have water to drink. there is simply not enough water to go around. in australia we are in our biggest drought on record, and water is very very very scarce, we are in an epidemic.
and we are gonna use it to fuel our cars???
stupidest idea ive ever heard

If this is the case Im gonna buy a water bottle company and make MILLIONS!

The problem so far with hydrogen cell like stuff has been the amount of electricity needed for the process of seperation. Enviromentally, it's still causing a lot of pollution, just from somewhere else. It'll be good when the oil runs out, but really, an electric car would be better, cut out the middle man.
I saw one a while back that charged itself as it drove, even re-using braking energy.
I firmly believe the reason the likes of Bush support hydrogen research is because they know it will be untenable for a hell of along time. We could have cars running on vegetable oil right now, and there's a few blokes in Wales that have cinverted their cars and already do.

Its not like there's not enough water to go around, it is just not distributed right so far. The hamburger animal and the wiener animal and the frankfurter animal drink way to much of the stuff before they can be commited to their obvious cause!

Actually, the one clip shows that it doesn't take too much energy to use water as fuel.
I agree that it may be more efficient for cars to run on electricity. That was my latest post. Check it out... Who killed the electric car?

What about reclaimed water? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_recycling) Water can be reused. It should be reused. My soils teacher was such an environmentalist, he hooked up a hose from his shower to go into a tank so he could use it to then water his gardens and lawn (the soap and shampoo runoff doesn't hurt anything). More people should learn to conserve, yes, but they should also learn to recycle. That'd be pretty sweet if we could learn to extract hydrogen from reclaimed waters.
And we need fuel regardless. I think there will be more and more wars over the very lost drop of oil. Oil's very scarce and people are dying for it. Everything in the environment is inter-locking and everything affects everything else. If you use water for cars, you'll have less water for drinking. If you use oil for cars, you go to war and will eventually die out due to overdependency. You just have to go with whatever is the best choice in the long run.
And why not use ocean water? Surely there must be a process to extract hydrogen from that. There just needs to be more innovation.

That's how I see this situation. If, technologically speaking, we're this far with water fuel already, perhaps ocean water and reclaimed water would be made options eventually.
