2-2. It is now effectively a best of 3 series. I'm enjoying this 2006 NBA Finals more than ever.

I was awestruck by Dallas early on, but now I'm beginning to understand Miami's resolve and talent. This series is a coin flip if your askin' me.

I give a slight edge to Dallas, only because of the homecourt advantage.

WHITE OUT

I can't believe that Stackhouse was suspended for the intentional foul on Shaq. I understand it but it really affects the championship. If you take that foul and put it on right next to Posey's hard fould in the Chicago series they are one in the same and Posey was also suspended 1 game.

I didn't even know about the Stackhouse suspension. I read the morning paper and Shaq was all like "my daughters tackle me harder" and "i'm oldschool I can take a hard hit, thanks stack" blah, blah, blah.....

I still am going with Dallas, they played a terrible game Thursday, it won't happen again, they'll come on strong and fast Sunday.

I don't know if I'm a big enough fan to bet on either team, I like Dallas but Gary Payton is the man from my the Supersonics.....and if any one player in this game deserves a ring, it's Gary.

I'll think about it............let's say the loser has to keep this avatar (http://www.darktemplarz.com/tempmatt/gay.gif) for a week or some sort of deal.

Sir Yeti or Sir yeahwho referenced in all posts...hmmm

durrrrrr, uh Josh, durrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, you don't call timeouts during freethrows, durrrrr with 1.8 seconds left, durrrr!

I have a feeling this is going to be a 7 game series. Gary Payton is one kick ass MF! It will be a riot Tuesday night in Dallas, wish I had the ways and means to jet down and buy a ticket.....damn!

I'm one game closer to being gay and calling you sir yeti :(

that was one of the more interesting endings to a game in a long time. josh howard completely denies he called that timeout. but the officials claim he called TWICE. they let the first one go unnoticed. and mark cuben claims that wade committed a back court violation when he received the inbound right before his last drive. when i first saw it i thought it was a backcourt violation myself. but no one seem to notice it. not even the commentators. they said something to the effect that you can inbound the ball in the backcourt now but wade seemed to inbound in the frontcourt first then skipped into the backcourt.

Gary Payton is weak, man. He's hasn't come close to doing anything beneficial for his team since 2000. He's tired. Don't get me wrong, I loved the guy with Seattle. Him and Kemp were my shits after Jordan retired, but I just can't believe he's any kind of factor now. Especially when he's splittin time with my boy White Chocolate.

well so far he has kept his team in Game 3 and Game 5, so I dont know what else to say...

after Jordan retired Shawn Kemp became a bloated coke addict...

the Sonics only made it to the Finals that one year, '96 , they got their asses dusted by the Bulls...

go heat

I would love to see him dominate again, he'd be an excellent 6th man if he is even half of what he once was...

Slimmer Kemp tries out with Nuggets

By PAT GRAHAM
AP SPORTS WRITER

DENVER -- Nuggets coach George Karl can see a different Shawn Kemp - not just a slimmer version of the former All-Star, but a wiser one.

"He seems clearer, stronger," Karl said Monday after Denver's three-day camp for free agents. "His words are older. They have some wisdom to them. It's the most grounded I've seen him."

The 36-year-old Kemp, who reportedly ballooned to 340 pounds in recent years, has been out of the NBA for the last three years but he wants to play again. Kemp said he hired a trainer and dropped 75 pounds, helping trim his body fat to 11.5 percent.

The former "Reign Man" said he didn't go on a special diet and simply lost the weight the old-fashioned way - hard work...

Kemp's biggest nemesis has been himself in recent years. In April 2005, Kemp was arrested for possessing small amounts of cocaine and marijuana in his truck. In 2001, he checked into a rehabilitation clinic for cocaine use.

Kemp was also featured in a story by Sports Illustrated in 1998 detailing athletes with out-of-wedlock children. The article said he reportedly fathered at least seven children by six different women.

"That was a little part of my life," Kemp said on the subject of his checkered past.
