I passed through Provo not too long ago.

the most conservative town in the most conservative state... 90% Republican. One of the lowest voter turnouts anywhere.

Chris Cannon just got renominated in the Republican primaries... and you guessed it... he's cleary the worse of the two. His entire renomination platform was to kick out those illegal immigrants.:eek:

He says global warming is just a long term cycle. He voted for the marriage ammendment. I once convinced him to support legislation requiring drug companies to report all their drug tests excluding patented information, and yet the House blatantly violated their own rules to deny the bill a vote.

Also, I was thinking of the first ammendment and Mormons in Utah in 1850... congress shall pass no law respecting an establishment of religion. The LDS church was established in 1830 under the laws of New York. From the first day until today, they always taught their members to keep every law and that there was never a reason to break any manmade law for their dogma. Polygamous marriage was perfectly fine under the state laws of Utah and 100% constitutional. Yet the Republican party at the time had only two issues in their entire campaign issue that election cycle, stop slavery and stop polygamy. Funny thing though, the law they passed violated the first ammendment. So they should have been allowed polygamy until Utah itself banned it. Anyway, Joseph Fielding Smith bent over backward and changed the religious dogma itself just to satisfy the unconstitutional Republican law, equivalent to destroying the religions' entire claim to any help from their Lord.

The real point of this thread was to discuss all ways humans communicate with each other.
See if we can find a hole in how some people are unstoppable because of how they communicate, or a way for those at the bottom rung to get right. I was thinking for a long time about posting a long analysis on self control of the information that comes into you, but I guess I didn't solve the problem as I'm led to believe as I still haven't posted it.
