do Angelina and Brad want exactly? was it completely nessary for her to come out and make the statement that they are going to adopt next? I mean shit woman you just gave birth, don't you wanna enjoy your new baby, celebrate her life and the life of you other children before you run right out and get another one?

I suppose these people don't ever wonder how they are going to give these children all the attention they need. I suppose they know they can hire people or something, but it's not like making movies isn't time consuming or anything and I've yet to hear them make any statement about taking time off thier careers for a ong period of time to raise these kids.

it almost seems like she's collecting children. she was talking about how they have to decided what country the next child will come from based on what will fit in best with the other kids cultures and some such crap.

fucking celebrities.

Singular and plurals make english difficult. Maybe it was the translation software?

they need like 3 or 4 adopted kids to offset the gorgeousness of their one biological kid.

to balance the universe, and all that.

Maybe try not to judge them so harshly. They're doing a great thing by adopting, by wanting to be good parents and extend themselves like that. I'm sure their kids will be happy and will get plenty of love.

She never seems to be anywhere without those kids, so they hardly seem deprived of attention to me.

I guess I think it's stupid for them to make a public statement about adopting another child when they just gave birth to one. it seems to me like they aren't taking the time to honor the child they just brought into the world. I would think they might want to say, hey were going to focus on our new child and bonding with our other children for now. but that's just me, personally if I were in thier shoes I might plan on continuing to expand my family but I'd keep my mouth shut to th media about it. because when they make statements like this there is an element of publicitity that seems rather self-serving, which to me takes away from all the good they are trying to do by adopting these children.

It doesn't matter to me what they say about their future plans wrt kids, or when they say that stuff.

I guess I don't know them well enough to second-guess their motives or to judge them. Actually, I feel uncomfortable judging anyone except for myself.

I dunno. My aunt's a retired civil rights lawyer who does some pro bono legal work for a human rights organisation, and has met her. She reckons Anj is one smart cookie who is all about creating her own way in the world, and my aunt's one of the most swtiched-on intelligent people one would ever care to meet, so I give her word pretty high regard - she's quite good at sussing out what people are all about.

I feel pretty comfortable judging celebrities. they have chosen a profession which opening thier lives up to the public eye and with the public eye comes scrutiny. Celebrities like to whine about not having privacy or about how they've been to public about thier private lives...yet they never seem to shut the hell up about thier private lives. so yeah I have no sympathy for them. it's real easy to open your yap and air it all and I have alot more respect for celebs who know how to use restraint and the "no comment" card.

that said, I don't think Angelina is dumb and I do think she recognizes she's overpaid for what she does and she's doning good things with her money. I'm not impressed with how she handles the media. She's smart enough to know the media/publicity game. She doesn't need to perpetuate the publicity but she does. I'm not sure if it's that she's trying influence others to do good and adopt children or if it's that she is trying to nurture a new image for herself and distance herself from her reputation as a nutty, vial of blood wearing sex kitten. maybe it's a bit of both, but the later reason really takes away from the humanitarian aspect of it. What I guess I see lacking from her is an element of modesty and hummility about what she's doing. to me there is something slightly smug with in her about "about creating her own way in the world". that's just my perception. doesn't mean I'm right, it's just how it appears to me.

I'm not impressed with how she handles the media. She's smart enough to know the media/publicity game. She doesn't need to perpetuate the publicity but she does.Just about everything about celebrities depends on or is influenced by public opinion, and the public is fickle and easily and quickly swayed to extremes. Look how quickly the tide turned against the Dixie Chicks.

Maybe Angelina Jolie is talking to the media because she wants to (no crime) or maybe it's to stay current/popular so that she can continue with her career if she chooses to. It could be that, now that she has an undeniable spotlight, she can use this time to promote her human-needs projects. Maybe it's some of all of that. I don't know, but I don't think if it's nefarious and self-serving. She's probably just very excited about what she's doing. I would be.
