If I had a housekeeper, I honestly think I'd clean my house before s/he arrived.

LOL I do that, a bit. It's more that I "tidy" though, so that everything's in place and they just have to "clean". I make the bed though, because they can never make it like I can. They don't put the throw pillows in the right order, damn it!

I think I'd be on my hands and knees scrubbing the floors with a wire brush. :)

The guy across the street from me has lived in his house for eons and has had a housecleaner since Nixon was in office. The housecleaner can barely get around now, but he's loyal and likes to help her out, so he keeps her on. The guy recently got married and the wife is the sort of homeowner who, whenever her side neighbors do anything to their property, she checks building codes to see if it's legal and if it's not, she gets her lawyer to write threatening letters. Anyway, she wants to let that housekeeper go and when I heard that, I thought of the mean woman in that Disney movie with the dogs--Glenn Close played her in the remake.

Cruella DeVille(lb) right. I should have remembered that name! She is a more potent version of the woman across the street from me.

(That's one of my biggest weaknesses--knowing how to deal with people who are vicious/uncaring and who gossip. Bad when those traits show up in one person.)

I actually don't mind cleaning...but if I had the funds to hire a cleaning lady I would just have her do the floors and the bathroom....the creepy stuff.

That was mainly what I hired them (they always work in pairs from the service I'm using, for security) for - I figured, I'm going to have a new baby, I don't have any family here to help me out, if I could just have someone who comes in once in a while to scrub the tub and do the floors, that would be really, really, really nice.

And you know? It totally is.

I haven't had a cleaner since I lived in Korea. Also when I was in Korea I was living in the dorms so it was just one room she had to clean... and she would always seem to come in when I stepped out of the shower after morning PT... crazy old woman:rolleyes:

So I was kinda nervous about having someone clean my house, but it worked out great!!!

Today is the last time my house keeper is cleaning for me :( I'm actually kinda sad too. I left her a note and a 50 pound tip, I also got her lined up with a few of my friends that live in the village. I'm moving outta my house and into a hotel Monday. I'm almost outta here.
