summer solstice

ahhhhh...the longest day of the year:) i love it! winter bums me out being locked in all day from the bitter cold and having the sunset at 430 pm! today there shall by daylight from 515 am to 828 pm!! thats a lot of sun! plants are happy, birds are happy and i am happy!
so, i have decided to detoxify myself for a couple of weeks and refocus on me. i have been an unhealthy grouch lately. time to change

I work the graveyard shift and it is easier in the summer. I actually see the sun. I get really depressed in the winter when I never do.

best day of the year to have a birthday as a kiddie cause you can just run around outside til the dogs come home

It's still light outside when I go to bed. Not blindingly light, but enough to silhouette the trees against the sky interestingly. It's a simultaneously neat and weird effect.

In the mornings, the birds are up and singing--some on my window ledge--at 4am. Bastards.
