It's a nice track, good production. You can rhyme, but there isn't that much variation in your flow.

BTW, you should compress that file for online distribution.

good but your tone is monotonous. not dissing just opinionizing. dr. octagon is monotonous but people being swearing up and down. so you know. you doing your thing you having fun and that's cool. but that's cool in an 1998 sort of way not a 1989 sort of way if you catch'a my drift'a.

You seem very enthusiastic about rhyming. I say keep doing it!

Im also sure that any criticism you receive comes from beastie boys fans, therefore there expectations are so high, nobody else could touch them.

Keep up the good work(y)

I really like it. You have a really nice old school voice. Kinda mellow, but not in an annoying way.

Kudos man

good stuff cj. i like your voice.I listened and liked it too, but I didn't post because I don't know how to critique this stuff. But what alexandra said goes for me too. I like that you even know how to do this stuff. That's so cool. I have to relisten to the song so that I can hear the lyrics better.

Production - 7.5 /10

I liked the bboys sampling, and the other little tweaks thrown in, but the beat was a little slow and uneventful for me

Lyrics - 8/10; Yeah, I know it's a cover song, but I like the slight lyrical changes and the Beastie-free whispers were funny. Although I admit, I just heard them after reading the post here.

Delivery - 5/10; Just wasn't feeling it to be honest.

I admire that you're even making music and have the knowledge/technology/connections to do it. If this is a hobby track, then yeah, it's fucking awesome. If you think you're going to be a successful artist, well, I think you're dreaming honestly.

It was fun though, not trying to be a dick. You were begging for reviews so you got one.

^^^i'm not beggin for reviews....but if 170 heads check the track....i expect some feedback......i feel with a cover, things are limited.....i think Next did an excellent job on the beat, production and scratchin........as far my performance goes.....i did it slow and laid back, like the original beastie version....i appreciate everyone checking it out and for their honest critiques (good & bad)...i've been doin this for 20 years....not for money or fame, but for the love of hiphop!!!!

Yeah, I understand the vibe of the song and going w/ the vibe the bboys laid down. I think the contrast of the 3 voices make the song.

If you're enjoying what you're doing, then big ups. I'm truly envious. I'd love to get to do some fun shit like that.

My review sounded harsh, didn't mean it to be like that. Tried to diffuse it at the end of my post but it didn't work. Good job man.

It sounds like you are borded at the begining, but gets better later on...
I like that you don't just use beastie-only lyrics, but make it your own song. (y)

Hey,CJ! That's good cover! Sounds, like professional! But,please, add for second version another 2 voices of any members from MB, or Yr friends, or any singers! In that case, Yr cover 'll be complete with3 different voices! That' ll be more cool music!

I dug it Hood. I thought the beat was great. The computer voice telling us how much time left was a nice touch. The cuts were well done.

I'd have stuck the sample of ad rock "saying poetry in motion" under you rapping it.

I agree with the others saying you were way too laid back at the beginning of D's verse.

But all-in-all...I'm a life long beastie fan, and I don't think your cover sucks. So you know how to take that.

If anyone is interested in a collaboration, I'm so down.

I was trying to use yousendit.com to post one of mine but it only gives me the option to send to another email... do I have to pay to host?
