best thing ever.
peanut butter & pickle sandwiches are my favorite (dill slices only)
peanut butter & banana & chocolate syrup is a close runner up
peanut butter & brown sugar is really tasty and i just tried it for the first time today (the dr made one)
and of course the old standby, pb&j
it also goes well on apple slices. bet that would make a good sandwich.

I love me some Peanut Butter, except for the jar with the peanut butter/jelly swirls mixed together. vomits a little.
...there's some of that in our work room fridge right now. Peanut butter and strawberry. I'm not tempted.

i like pb&j. but ive become allergic to peanuts. :(

apparently. over the past 2 years, ive become more and more sensitive to it, to the point that now i break out in little hives when i eat peanuts. my throat closes up and everything tingles. when that happened, i started avoiding it.

how/what did s/he eat? water is in almost everything!
i heard that when you're overly exposed to something, the body occasionally develops allergies to it. like dust, cats, that sort of thing. maybe it applied to peanuts. i used to eat them all the time.
interestingly enough, almonds do nothing to me. i now eat them instead. yum.

wow, I thought you had to be born with allergies.....I would freak out if all of a sudden I couldnt eat something I loved. :(
I had a friend in elementary school who was allergic to water.Nah, you can develop them and the onset is sometimes associated with big bodily changes, like pregnancy, puberty, menopause.
I have a severe allergy to a few things. The first attack surprised the shit out of me and it took a bunch of work in the ER to get things back to normal. After that, I learned to carry epinephrine. I know what two of the triggers are. There's a third that I've yet been able to identify.
Pauli, peanut allergies are scary because peanuts are in everything and peanut oils can go airborn. Do you carry an epi pen because what you described are the beginning stages of anaphylaxis.

i hated peanut butter growing up until i tried the natural organic stuff with the oil on top that you have to stir in. now i have a very special relationship with peanut butter, which i can only describe as "i fucking love that shit." i put it in chocolate/banana protein shakes. mm mm. makes 'em smooth and creamy. good source of protein and good fats. i'm convinced that everyone that doesn't like peanut butter would love it if they tried the real good stuff.
i'm allergic to root beer floats.

i carry inhalers... im afraid of this epi-pen. i never even mentioned the allergy to the doctor, i just figured i'd stop eating peanut things. im kinda anal about reading labels anyway so it wasnt a big change from before.

i carry inhalers... im afraid of this epi-pen. i never even mentioned the allergy to the doctor, i just figured i'd stop eating peanut things. im kinda anal about reading labels anyway so it wasnt a big change from before. Each time I've had anapylaxis, it was fast moving and an inhaler didn't touch any of the symptoms. Not even close. I had a bad case of it once just from touching the one food that I'm allergic to and then touching my eyes after that.
Why are you afraid of the epi-pen?

enree: i dont know. isnt the epipen a needle?

enree: i dont know. isnt the epipen a needle?I think it is, but maybe it's not a traditional "shot" type of needle. Fortunately, I haven't had to use any of mine--I've always been able to get to an ER in time.
The first time it happened to me, it happened full-on and I had no idea what it was. I took allergy pills but within maybe 2 minutes of onset, it was very scary from the breathing point of view. Fortunately, I was with someone who had a car and who lived only a few minute from an ER. If I would have been camping or hiking, I would have died because even just getting to the ER within 10 minutes of onset caused them to have to use 3 rounds of direct epi and work on me for a bunch of time. So they say--by then, I was out. I carry the epi-pen now.

No, STL. That was good though! :p I used to like PB when I was little, but I don't like it anymore. Except I like Reeses. I don't like cucumbers but I like pickles. I don't like tomatos and onions but I like salsa. What the fuck is wrong with me?

peanut butter is pretty much my favorite food. ever. I don't even put it on anything anymore, just off a spoon is my favorite...Although it is good on apples, carrots, and occasionally some ezekiel bread.
However, I tried the natural stuff and I tell ya, I love eating organic things and trying to be healthier but it was fucking god awful. I guess I'll just have to deal with the trans fat/hydrogenated oils that comes in regular peanut butter from the grocery store because I just love it too much to cut it out of my diet...wow I really want some peanut butter now hahaha :o

come to scotland. we'd be all over that isht.
we already do a roaring trade in deep fried mars bars (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/4103415.stm). although, it has to be said, i have never seen it offered in a chippy, but then again i haven't, thankfully, visited all the chip shops in glasgow.
seen plenty of deep fried pizzas, though. can you imagine??! my flatmate eats it all the time. it just tastes of fried bread with a bit of tomato. no biggie.
on the peanut butter tip; i used to hate it when i was younger because of the minging sticking on the roof of your mouth problem. now, i'm coming round to it more. i like it on toast in the morning on crusty multigrain bread. fills you up for the day. i like it the most in satay format in spicy thai dishes. yummmers!
