Lycos mail is turning to shit....any suggestions?

I have used Lycos mail for well over 3 years and now it's pop up central and I'm getting much more spam than usual

any good suggestions for free online email?

Gmail is the first to come to mind.

Don't use it much though.

i dont get any spam
it has all the storage space i need

i've been using yahoo since the late 90's. I do get alot of spam, but most of it goes in the spam folder.

If you have yahoo messanger, it will pop up on your screen if you got mail which saves you from checking it like 20 times in one day waitin for an email.

I really wouldnt recommend you using yahoo....I really dont know what im trying to accomplish with this post.
