Adam Yauch bails on skateboard

My friend lives in NY and read in a local newspaper that Adam Yauch was skateboarding to pick up his daughter from school, and in order to avoid a head on collision, he somehow bailed, but ended up landing on his feet!!!!
If I can find the article I'll post it.. I thought that was really funny.
He still has it in him...

yesterday i went to the block at orange and at the Vans:cool: store they have an inside skating park and i just kept thinking wut if yauch was here:rolleyes: then i saw a skateboard and thought about buying:p it then i saw the price and went "aww hell nah!!!!":eek: :mad:

Interesting things connected with the skateboarding and beastie boys. Girl skateboards (wich spike jonze owns a quarter of) put out a sabatoge board back when the song came out. X-Large also shared a warehouse back when girl skateboards started out. Also Mike Carrol owner and skateboarder on Girl skateboards was mentioned as one of the 4th beasties back in the day. A Beastie Boy almost came to grief last week while keeping it rap-star-real and picking his daughter up from school on his skateboard.

Lunchers leaving Bar Pitti in the West Village saw Adam (MCA) Yauch skating through traffic, when he suddenly ditched to avoid a head-on collision.

"He jumped off his skateboard and slammed into the curb, but was still able to land on his feet," says the witness.

Eight-year-old Tenzin, who has no doubt seen much worse in her young life, watched the spectacle from the curb.

I just read this article and i think its pretty cool that he still rides his board and even cooler is that hes going to pick up his little Tenzin at school, that is the coolest of the cool. I wish he was my dad.
