I don't think that most people would flee in the opposite direction of the lower half of their body, with just their torso intact. Especially since your groin is in your lower half. That's like, the most important half.

So I'm guessing that the woman that got pulled apart was in on it. And that she's actually a dwarf. With prosthetic limbs. Or has no lower half. And the two people who pulled her apart were in on it. And they weren't really scared or grossed out.

Yeah, I dunno. The girl that got pulled in half started running on her hands pretty quickly. If I got pulled in half I'd probably just sit there in disbelief.

The legs that moved are hard to explain though...I can't figure that one. Unless maybe they're just really good prosthetics...but you'd think the girl pulling them would've noticed (assuming she's not a plant).

well, we know it's 2 people...

i just don't get how they fit together so that they could walk over to the bench as one person.

i think we are dealing with 2 severly deformed people here...not just one.

Yea, the girl was really torn apart

Fun trick if you can find the right people to do it.

The bottom one is what's bugging me out - I mean how can you get someone with legs that long that doesn't have a torso etc. to go with it?

I'm not saying it's impossible, but generally the sort of deformity that would make that even remotely believable is someone who's just shorter in general, not just flat from the waste up.

Odd.

Legless freak on robotic legs? I doubt if you'd just been pulled apart that you'd just magically know how to run away on your hands so fast.

Are there seriously people here contemplating whether or not someone *actually* got torn apart? Gimme a break. There'd be blood everywhere, and the shock would be so great she wouldn't be able to move. That, and it's physically impossible to do.

She's obviously a parapalegic. No legs. She's not a little person, because her face and proportions would be different. The bottom half I can't explain, it may be robotic. I don't think the two others were in on it.

If you'll notice, the only time it shows the legs move is of a close up, or generally when we can't see right behind the legs, so it could easily be a contortionist laying there out of view of the camera, cut together later to make it look like it was happening right after they were pulled apart.

haha, i like this part of the snopes article.

The woman is not actually being pulled apart; she's taking part in what is commonly known as a "magic trick."

they said that every part of the video is important, even if it seems minor...i'm going with an amputee and a little person. the tap on the stomach is probably the little person's cue to get ready.

Well you guys seen the film Freaks (http://www.brightlightsfilm.com/32/freaks.html), right? See the guy with no limbs making and lighting a cigarette?
Well she could star in it. Only someone without limbs for a lifetime could start running with her arms like that. As you can see the skirt is very long so there could be a midget underneath it and the magician lowers her down on the bench much more carefull than the first girl.

My personal favorite part...

"By the way, for the amount of time you claim to spend in spin class you really must be doing something wrong to sport the thunder thighs you do. Watching you parade around my bedroom in a thong was a little like watching sea lions mate. Thought you might like to know."

My fav part.

"You did a stupid thing huh? No...doing long division and forgetting to carry the one is "a stupid thing"; Mixing in a red sock with a load whites is "a stupid thing"; Blowing some guy in a bathroom for 45 minutes while I sit at the bar wondering if you're taking so long because you ate too much bran that morning isn't as much a "Stupid thing" as it is grounds for permanent removal from my social calendar."

This guy is my hero.

Mindfreak is one of those shows I always want to watch, and then I never do for one reason or another. That clip was cool. I met a man in campground when I was a kid that had no legs, he traveled the U.S. on a skateboard, he could have been the top half of an act like this.
i am going with a midget in the bottom and a no legged on the top.

There are 4 people in on the trick, maybe more. The girl pulling the arms knows to keep pulling enought to help the paraplegic land on the lawn. The midget with the head mount and the dude who detaches the mount during the trick. The chick getting a piggyback ride looks like a freak standing there, all akward. Plus he helps with her head on the way down to land on the bench.

There are alot of "tells" on multiple viewings.

A cool trick none the less, I enjoyed it. :)

But if it's not sports, then it's a show that we stole from England, so I think you mean you can't take any English t.v. seriously.
i can take english tv seriously. except for shows like The Bill - GODDAMN that shit is boring as all hell.

maybe it's just because i hate american accents.
