so the delaware river area is under flood watch because there's just so much water running. in danger also, almost anywhere with water near it. we have just way too much water. which makes me go hmmmm.... i hate being alert-ist or too hypochondriatic BUT im almost positive that by october, the new york metro area is gonna be FUCKED. something bad is gonna happen, i just know it. :( someone bump this thread when that happens please, thankyou.

I agree and I'm getting more and more concerned about changing weather patterns with each passing day.
I wonder if someone rigged W's Bible for beginners and put something in there about global warming, he'd believe it really exists.
the weather has been bipolar all week. it pours, it's sunny, it pours, it's sunny, it can't make up its mind. one minute you'll be driving with the windows down and the wind in your eyes, the next it'll be raining so hard you literally can't see. scariest day of driving i've ever had, i'll tell you that
anyway i thought the topic originally said "witnesses" everywhere. i thought maybe you'd killed someone.

I was more concerned when we had 75 degree days in February.

well, lots of people who refuse to believe in global warming say that there are weather trends, and it's true. weather is cyclical. but still, this isn't normal by any means or cyclical pattern. it's just time we come to the realization that we have to change OUR ways cause mother nature wont change for us. but imagine how much destruction and death is gonna occur before that happens. :(

I thought this thread was going to be about something way more interesting.

Flooding is about the worst disaster... I hope you guys do okay. I saw a map today of all the rainfall areas in the eastern states -- pretty shocked to realize how widespread it is.

we're all in denial. the weather is fucked and so are we. im afraid there's nothing much we can do to bring about immediate effects. we could start by doing all those things that environmentalists talk about, but i feel like we're already fucked and it would take another 100 years to see it get better even if we all went green.
GO GREEN, FUCKERS!!!!

It rains 250 days out of the year here. And I believe it rained the entire month of January this year. We'd hardly be able to tell if the whole city broke off and sank into the ocean. THAT'S HOW CRAZY IT IS!

this year has been terrible for flooding where I am as well. and we now live right next to a large creek. apparently the house have only been flooded once in 15 years, but with the way the weather has been going I'm concerned that this winter is going to be very wet and we may well flood. ick.
but I also keep having preminitions of a good size quake hitting this area in the next 4 months. we are about due.
