...with this whole "having a baby" thing. I mean, I read loads of books and all and thought I had a pretty good idea what was coming, but there are some things I just had no idea to expect.
For example - how very, very loudly such a small thing can fart. I mean, my god. (Or is my progeny just especially talented in this area?)

Not yet, not really. Breastfed babies' poo isn't very stinky. Just has sort of a yeasty, buttery smell actually. Things don't get smelly until they start weaning onto regular food. But then, yeah, I understand things get rather whiffy. Fortunately we won't have to deal with that for a few months yet.

Just wait until you get a nice peas and chicken poop smell.

LOL seriously, it's not bad. It smells kind of like toast.
But it looks like mustard.

:D Ohhhhh yes - my little Ava can let 'em rip!
And as for the poo when she goes onto formula milk, you're in for a treat! Who knew it would smell so bad sometimes it makes you gag! And the amount! It kinda oozes from the top of the nappy sometimes...
My tip is keep a scented nappy sack to hand so you can clamp it to your nose whilst you are cleaning up....

that's why my grandma on my dad's side refused to ever eat mustard or even have it in her house. :(

my stepsister's baby farted really loud in church while my stepdad was getting married. it was dead silent in there too because they were lighting the candles. man how that sound can reverberate in a church. and we were all trying so hard not to laugh that we were crying.

My children's farts are like little drum beats. And they smell of flowery delights.
