Here is what Im thinking of doing....

I got a check for a student loan, its for $2000 which has to be paid to the school.


Now, Im thinking about cashing it, bringing the $2000 to the horse track and betting on one of the top finishers. The typical bet that would win 80% of the time but when you bet $2.00 on it you get a whopping $3.00 back. While thats nothing with small denominations, with $2000 I could turn that into $3000 with a simple horse bet.

i work in a bookies and its not a bad idea...even the clear favourite can return a good wee bit of money if you put LOTS on...

I don't know though LOL, that idea of yours sounds like the begining of some lame college comedy. you'll loos all your money and you'll just end up having to throw a massive party where the musical guest won't show until the last minute and it looks like everyone is going to roit but then magically George Clinton will knock on your door and save the day.
