Haha, that's mold. There are different severities, and some people cannot stand the harsher ones. Japanese children cry when they must eat blue cheese. When I win the lottery, I'll only eat the white stuff and throw the rest away.

blue cheese is good too, cant eat the big blue pieces though (too much of the good)
