Some of you may remember my on again/off again boyfriend. Long story short, we were together for about 4-5 years until he began using heroin. Last summer, he had gone to rehab 3 times (within less than 6 months), jail twice, and jail a third time for nearly a year. He got out (on parole) late March of this year... Things were going smoothly until, once again, I caught him in lie-after-lie, and was later told by a reliable source he was back to using heroin. I broke off all ties at that point.

Last weekend, I received a letter from my ex. You know.. One of those pity-party sorts with empty promises and apologies. I read it, tossed it aside and haven't looked or thought of it's contents up until a few hours ago.

You see... Besides my ex's "illness" (as it's now referred to as), he's immature, which also reflects upon the people he chooses to befriend. They, most of them, being girls under the age of 18. So, I happen to stumble across some 16 year old girl's MySpace, when I see THIS (http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c393/b4by4nn/unclenickandkids1.jpg) picture and it's caption "Uncle Nick & Kids", and comments from one of the girls pictured "haha it was sooo much fun camping."


For some reason, I am deeply hurt by this. I feel so ugly and old in comparison.

I'm not sure of what to do. If I should take his letter and burn it, or be an asshole and correct every grammatical error in red pen (adding a few thoughts of my own to his) and send it back to his sorry ass.

MMe and my boyfriend are together by 2 years...since he decided to stop with heroine. I know him by 6 years... but 4 years ago, when he started with heroine i cut him off by my life...before he started using heroine he was a normal boy just a little bored who was searching for "shock" in veerything...but he was allright... so the odissey started...I suffered....then when I decided to let him go by his way...he returned (another time!!!) sayne that he would have took therapy....so i believed and since that day he has been right. serious....now he's ending the cure... but I've just realizaed that he's weak and now that I work on afternoon and I can't stay with him 24-7 he's bad with me...he says that I don't care about him...and he's cold...
I'm happy with my boyfriend...his cure is succesfull, he's another person now...and he gave to me (in this 2 years) all the things that he had never give...but in this particular moment of my life I fill like unsatisfied... he'd like me to be blond, skinny and gorgeous to be proud of me with his friends.....but he never asks to himself what I would like him to be... And he does not consider all the sacrifices I've done for him...so I'm suffering in this moment...
Anyway:
I think that's better if you fire his letter up! Fire it up! You're gonna just to suffer! Don't do that to yourself! Love yourself first of all!

I've just split up with my girl, without going into detail she ended it over something we could have worked out.

I've been really down over the past two weeks and the other day I decided to write a letter too. I thought that my side of the story in writing may help us to work things out. She said she's gonna phone me tonight. I was feeling ok until I read this post.
