Was listening to 102.1 the Edge in Toronto yesterday and the afternoon DJ, Dave Bookman talked about how the Beastie's PR people had been in touch about a visit to the station this july.

I'm assuming this would be part of a promo tour for the DVD, but lets hope we get some club like shows as well.

Outdoor movies have become a popular summer activity in towns and cities around the world and Whistler is no exception. Lunafliks is back this summer for a fourth season of edgy films every Thursday under the stars at Lost Lake Park.
The weekly movies are becoming something of a Whistler summer tradition, with groups of people with lawn chairs in tow making the trek to Lost Lake every Thursday to catch award-winning, “feisty” films, said Kiran Pal, organizer of the film series.
“It’s a really exciting event, and there’s nothing better than sitting back and watching 500 people laughing under the stars together,” she said.
The film series runs every Thursday through July and August and is presented by Sharp’s Audio Visual and LUNA (Late and Unique Nighttime Alternatives), which provides alternative, alcohol-free activities in Whistler.
The weekly event gets started around 9 p.m. with DJ Tone spinning tunes for the masses as they set up blankets and chairs, have picnics and socialize with friends before the movie starts. Popcorn and other snacks will be available, but leave the booze at home — drinking isn’t allowed in public parks, Pal said.
The films begin at dusk, around 10 p.m., but it’s a good idea to show up early to enjoy the atmosphere and claim a good spot for viewing. And even though summer is in full swing, bring warm clothes and blankets for bundling up later on.

umm yeah it was torture because duff was first so i had to wait for that nonsense to end. i wasn't there, watched it on tv. the interviewer showed them a clip of sabotage and the band had to answer a silly set of questions about it. the real meat and potatoes will be tomarrow! can't wait to go to the edge studio and hmv right after

They made an interview with a CBC (Canadian Brodcast Company) reporter in Toronto. Interview sucked, cool view atop a building, talked about poo and farts (that's adrock for ya) reporter is a babe.

it wasn't very good, adrock seemed to have a chip on his shoulder for a bit of it (maybe it's his greying hair?), but he also said probalby the funniest stuff. MCA was quite quiet for most of it, mike had some good comments, he answered the whole question about AIFST and what caused them to make it etc. THe interviewing was crap, they had him (matt) totally confused a lot of the time. A girl in the audience , who was obviously a big beastie fan based ont he silliness of her question :), asked "the last time you guys were interviewed here, you said that you were working on sandwiches...my question is: how are the sandwiches coming along?"

then they went on and talked/joked around with the girl about the different ingredients and types of sandwiches they were making for about 3 minutes, then later on after the stupid sabotage trivia game, they talked about sandwiches for another 2 or 3 minutes.

I was at Much Music on Weds. and I got there at about 12 - 1p.m. to line up and beat all those crazy Hilary Duff fans. I was the person in a blue striped shirt, next to the girl asking the question. I met a group of three people in line that were there for the Beasties but that was about it. After 4-5 hours of waiting, I was really disappointed with the interview and since they were in a rush, they were only able to sign one thing. I got pictures though! :cool:
