is my favourite album of 2006 so far. it's mega! anyone else heard it?

I was a fan in their earlier days, but never really got into Absolution. Love falling in and out of er...love with bands though, and this shit is bodacious!

that's bullshit. and fucking lazy. the UK press got over that from 2001-onwards. so they sound similar at times? they're both fucking talented bands and it shines through, but muse stand on their own quite easily.

fuck that. i love my taste in music, and i love it more for liking muse. as i said i went of them, but the new album is one of the best new releases i've heard in ages. in my opinion anyway.

how you can make that sort of comment on someones taste in music when they've mentioned one band, a talented one at that, is beyond me. by the way, even when i didn't exactly adore muse i still knew they could blow just about anyone off stage...awesome live.

i'll grant you their new cd is of a new taste. definetly attracts new fans but for the most part the old fans seem to be happy with it too(y)

even though muse is considered a radiohead clone and I am huge radiohead fan, I just can't get into them...something about the singers voice

maybe i'm deaf, but i honestly don't hear the similarities to radiohead. certainly not enough to be so fucking militant about it to call them a rip-off or a clone, jesus. take a cold shower, calm down.

I enjoy the songs I've heard. Honestly. The queen-esque harmonies as of late and the fuzz guitar is okay with me.

yeah, i kind of noticed a bit of queen wannabeness on a few songs, especially the last track. i don't really like that though, i don't think they pull it off too well.

oooh i just love that last song! there's definitely a queen influence, has been for awhile. but those riffs at the end...fuck!

alright yeah, the riffs are cool, i did like those. the singing though, right before the riffs kick in, i thought that was a little annoying (although maybe i'm wrong in thinking it's a queen influence). or maybe just the lyrics were.

i do like the album

you know, im beginning to like this thread:rolleyes:

they don't " pull off " the queenesk sound in that song so great because i don't think they were particularly going for that sound. just happened to be that way - i may be wrong.
