Jealousy in the Workplace

So, I work with this girl... We're about the same age. She's MUCH prettier than I, very pretty in fact. Very exotic-looking.

Well, she likes my friend Tommy. Tommy and I used to date, but thought it best we remain JUST friends. It's more comfortable that way. He's like the Asian brother I never had (or was meant to have -- ha).

Anyway, this girl.. She's been cold and RUDE toward me lately, unlike when she first started working. And from a he-said/she-said basis, has ALSO been saying some very cruel, very CUNNING things behind my back along the lines of "Sarah's ugly" and "Why would Tommy ever want to date her? She's retarded, blablabla."

I'm put in an awkward position, here. Tommy sort of likes her too, but at the same time doesn't like the fact she's showing a jealous side. I don't want to jeopardize their "dating" or "relationship" if that were to ever come to fruition. Then again, I don't want some green-eyed, crazy bitch talking shit behind my back over something stupid.

This is something that you can't control. I mean, if she's saying bad things about you behind your back, then let her be that way. This only shows how stupid she is not to worry about her own life. Just ignore her. Her opinion is the worst you could get at this moment. And even if she had that opinion about you no matter what, it's her problem.

Seriously, that shows how mature you are. Just do not waste your time with these kind of things because it will only piss you off and nothing more. It's not going to add anything good in your life.

And Sarah is a beautiful name.
