Nah son. It's sweet and sort of fruity (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amaretto).

You're probably thinking of Jagermeister (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jagermeister)

nah brah. i'm a cider girl. cider all the way. lasts longer.

as a mixer it would be rum or vodka purely for the sheer amount of choices you can have.

alone, it would have to be amaretto.

they're growing on me big time.

bourbon/whiskey would be the top favourite for me at the moment.

I totally empathize with Capt. Jack Sparrow and his crew... because rum is pretty damn good. Usually make mine Captain Morgan, please.

Coming in at a very close second is vodka. I'm usually sporting some Grey Goose when it comes to this stuff... but every once in a while I'll switch it up. You know how we do.

Anyway, I don't really drink at all anymore. You know, the whole alcohol thing tends to slow weightloss, so I'm kind of avoiding it while I'm on my diet (read: lifestyle change if you're one of those types).

Absolut (non-flavoured) with Sprite
Jameson with Drambuie (Irish Rusty Nail)
43 (Quarenta y tres) with milk or OJ or Sprite or homemade elderflower drink
Bristol Cream (is that counted as liquor?)
single malt Scotch (MacAllan, Glenlivet, Bunnahabain, Glenmorangie, Scapa, Talisker, Oban, just about anything from Islay (http://www.scotchwhisky.com/english/about/malts/regislay.htm))
in emergency vanilla vodka with homemade elderflower drink (actually really nice, with loads of crushed ice, THE summerdrink of 2004)

Last night, I had homemade mint juleps for the first time ever. It was good, but we didn't let the mint soak into the sugar as much as it should have. We're doing that now and gonna try again later.

But holy crap, when you mix mint tea + bourbon + sugar regardless....(y)

El Capo. 99% of the time. Straight from the bottle. As a matter of fact, the wife and I got plastered for the first time in our new place last night off of the captain. As we were passing the bottle back and forth she said "DAMN! I forgot how good this shit is straight!"

The very occasional Tallisker.

And very very rarely the Goose or Belvedere.

I like a quality vodka, or a rum mix. Especially if it's coconut rum.

coconut rum is ok for the first drink. But after that it gets to be too sweet for the ole tum tum.

Kahlua, with Ketel-One coming in at a close second, Svedka right up there at third for the BRonze.

Black Bush, which is the premium version of Old Bushmills whiskey. It's amazing... Old Bushmills itself is smooth, golden whiskey, but Black Bush is the version that is aged for twenty years or something.

If not whiskey, then I like vodka. A bottle of Stoli kept in the freezer is the way to go.(y)

Buttery Nipples = amazing shots

2/3 Kahlua, 1/3 Butterscotch layered on top.

You can down 10 of those in a row, they taste just like candy.

Hear hear.

I don't like flavory, cand-ass kind of drinks. I want to taste the alcohol.

It's kind of like coffee: if the base ingredient is good, you don't need to add stuff to change the flavor.
