and he knocked my socks off. he was at milwaukee summerfest and it was a blast. heres how it went:
with a group of peeps, several car loads (3). me barb and b dokko decided went around back to sneak in, as we always do (something like 4 or 5 years in a row without paying) got in and just missed digital underground:( but were able to catch the end of dj colette and some other chick who were spinnning cds lol and lipsinking LOL. what a bunch of crap, supposed to be representing om records, but come out with that bullshit. so they played way too long, which gave me ample opportunity to get wasted on whiskey, beer vodka and herb. by now we had met up with everyone else and b dokko was quite sloshed.
mix master mike hit the stage. he blew up the stage. it was insane...i have some video and i want to post it but i am having trouble uploading it on photobucket. his hip hop deejay skills are fucking nuts, phenomenal alien communicating head romping super scientific insnanity. words cannot describe what was witnessed. he ended up throwing in all this crazy shit, mixing nirvana, and bon jovi into the interstellar outerspaceways of hard hitting beats and super slick scratching. there were two fights in front of me, and one behind, and i almost got punched in the face trying to break up one of the fights. anyways, it was rad.
mix master mike is the very peak of all that is scratch.
