i think the thing i love most about cosplay

is that most of the time, the people in the costumes are super pasty/are just plain obvious nerds, and look so out of place in these super revealing/crazy badass outfits. and they're, like, at a convention center, or on a sidewalk, or on a stage or something, wearing their security badges and shit along with their time-traveler/japanese schoolgirl/secret assassin costumes. just everything about them is so out of place.

oh, i just love cosplay dorks.

cosplay is when nerds dress up like their favorite characters (video games, anime, etc.) and wear these costumes and be nerds together. it's really cute. i'd totally be Cube from jet grind radio. but the funny thing is how SERIOUS they are about it. i love it.

I don't have the pictures on-hand, but the most creative cosplays I've seen were the Metal Gear Solid soldier with the "!" over his head, a guy in a box portraying Snake using the cardboard box in the Metal Gear Solid games, and a Transformer able to transform--at least partially.
