I read not that long ago that he contributed to a documentary about himself last year or so.

I guess this must be the documentary I read about (http://movies2.nytimes.com/gst/movies/movie.html?v_id=309066), but I swear I thought there was something newer.

roger watched the doc with his sister rosemary back in '01 on the bbc. he thought it was very good and enjoyed it so much that rose wrote a letter to the producer of the doc, telling him how much he liked it.

it's really sad, because he was doing extremely well in recent years and gilmour was talking about visiting him for a cup of tea...but then again, he went peacefully in his sleep.

Great song and lyrics. The story of Syd sitting in the studio (unrecognizable to most)while they recorded that song is crazy.
