I think you can learn a lot about people when they're completely uncensored as all of us are here. Not to mention the fact that if we all expressed ourselves in person the way we do in this format, no one would hear anything or be able to get a word in edgewise because we'd all be talking at that same time. It's like you get a glimpse into each individual's thought process and you can decide for yourself whether or not you think what they have to say is worth a shit, and without having to worry about verbal competition from other people.

I can't believe I'm defending this shit hole. I just find nonverbal communication to be really interesting.

I open 7 tabs in Firefox every morning and this site is one of them. I hardly ever look at it tho, but its there all day as one of the tabs and then I close it at the end of the day. Today I decided to actually read a post. (this one)

So as for a reason to keep coming back. Its in the automatic 7 tabs I open every morning. 3 of which are used regular. The other 4 inc this one are there cus if you are after something different but the same as everything else, then this is a good place to come. But there is far too many threads now to read to keep up with the general social circle of the board...

I would never think of myself as intelligent. Fairly educated in some disciplines but not necessarily intelligent. There's a distinction. Some of my friends--they're Intelligent and the knowledge comes seemingly effortlessly to them and stays put.

Honestly, I think every thing I learn and do makes an impression with me in a way that I carry along in the end, so while I might not take the specific knowledge and experiences with me, I take those impressions along and that's what matters. To be called kind-hearted is an indicator to me that I'm doing a couple of things right or that I'm at least on the right path. Those are goals of mine: learn stuff and show kindness. So thanks for that you guys. It's touching.

And to answer the question about why I come here. I came for one set of reasons and stayed for another. Mostly, it's interesting to me to see how people in a different generation relate, what they're experiencing and how they react to the world. Some of it reminds me of stuff that I've been through and some of it is maybe a peek into my own future. It's just a way to watch and sometimes interact with a group of people that I normally don't have access to and that's usually a net positive for me.
