THE(?) Beastie Boys????

ok so i've always thought its just Beastie Boys. But when i copy my CDs into iTunes they're all listed as The Beastie Boys. WHAT IN THE H-E- doulble hockey sticks is up with that? I always hear them introduced on TV and radio as just "Beastie Boys" So what is up? Why Not THE? Why do they insist on no THE, but yet it shows up on my iTunes? SOMEBODY HELP!(!) (!) (!) (!) (!)

Sometimes I say the Beastie Boys, but not as in THE Beastie Boys but as in the band the Beastie Boys ya know? Because it sounds kinda funny "What's your favorite band" and I say "I like Beastie Boys" because then I sound like a cave woman or somethin. :p

In italy we put articles before names for a grammatical rule... so we calle 'em "i Beastie Boys"...and in the translation it become "the Beastie Boys".... we use this rule also with other names....for example to say "I saw Samantha yesterday"....we say "ho visto LA Samantha ieri" ... that has no tranlation (LA) in english...so sometimes I go wrong because of this...but I think that they are "Beastie Boys"....without the...
