that was a study that turned out to be bogus. it was off the market for a few years and now it's back on.
st. john's wort makes you more susceptible to sunburn.
bring 'em on, i got tons of resources. everything has a side effect, be it natural or manmade.

I was hoping you'd chime in...also I read St. John's wort and artificial lighting is bad for the eyes, do you know if this is true?
does milk thistle help with the passing of gum?

if it's a good quality extract, no. there's nothing manmade or natural better for helping the liver rejuvenate. and i have a 70-something year old man that recovered from alcohol-induced hepatitis and spent a year in the hospital on that, and swore up and down that it saved his life to back me up on that. he looked like a million bucks, too. sweetest old guy i ever met.
i don't fucking know. probably just as long as it takes you to digest anything else. from 12 hours to a few days. just don't swallow it, genius.
i've heard lots of things about artificial light (rainer maria anyone?). but i can't say i know that about the eyes...i just know that st. john's wort has lots of interactions and side effects, and with how many people that take it, there really should be more warnings written about it.

You know it takes a sloth 30 days to digest a meal. If it supposedly takes humans a few years to digest gum, imagine a sloth doing it! Or simply imagine a sloth chewing gum!

Jarrow (http://www.vitacost.com/JarrowFormulasSilymarin80StandarizedMilkThistle) (i love anything by that company, and holy shit, that's a good price for it) makes a decent one, but Nature's Way Thisilyn (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00020HRE0/dealtime-hpc-20/ref%3Dnosim/104-2733726-4530318) is good too. that's all i can think of off the top of my head. just get a good standardized one.
if you want to do a liver cleanse, something with milk thistle and dandelion is good, and whatever other herbs you might find in it (usually artichoke). but milk thistle is good for all around maintenance.
did you know that the liver's the only organ in the body that can regenerate itself? it's incredible. you could cut off a huge portion of it and it would regrow. it's why some people can smoke 4 packs a day all their lives and live to be 100, and why some die of lung cancer at 65 - all because of the strength of their livers.

it's like the starfish of your internal organs!
only it doesn't have thousands of feet all over it and it can't throw up its stomach and digest a clam inside its own shell
i really should be going to bed

it's so simple: just run water as hot as you can stand (without scalding yourself of course) over the bite for a little bit, or wet a washcloth with hot water and hold it against the bite. the itching and pain will subside for hours. no need for anything else.

psuedoephedrine is still available, but its original form, ephedra (ma huang), was federally banned, so it's off the market. that's the only thing i can think of off the top of my head. but it's a wicked stimulant, so be careful. fish oil would probably be helpful. i'll look it up tomorrow.

I heard that st. johns wort counteracts with birth control....so if you are on the pill...you cant take it. True?

could be. i'd have to look it up. st. john's has so many interactions, and there are a lot of things that work better than it, so i usually just say try other things first.
