Some lady called me up speaking spanish. I politely said: No habla espanol'. and she continued to speak spanish to me. and I said: sorry, no comprende. and she asked another question in spanish. and I said: YO NO SE' very nicely.

and apparently she knows one english word and that is "Stupid" She called me stupid! so at that point I started speaking english to her. "look you called me and I'm pretty sure you have the WRONG number", I said. She hung up.

I love when I worked at the Vietnamese office and I'd say "Hello, thanks for calling *dental organization here*, this is Diana, how can I help you?" they'd go off speaking Vietnamese. And when I'd be like "Um, do you speak Vietnamese?" (because a lot of Asian languages can sound alike), they'd be like "WHA? WHA? HELLO?" and it's just really frustrating. Either that, or they'd say "Oh, sorry, I speak English." and I'd be like, good, and my opening greeting should have let you know that so do I.

Well i guess I'm just annoyed because i really tried to acomodate her with the few spanish skills I have to let her know I didn't understand what she was asking for and she was rude. that's not cool:(

This woman keeps calling my phone and leaving messages for her "boo" (yes, she calls him/her "boo") on my voicemail. It could be a prank, but I dunno.

She got mad at me once when I had answered, assuming her boo was screwing around or something and called me a "concubine". :confused: I told her "I DON'T KNOW YOUR BOO! I DON'T HAVE A BOO! YOU HAVE THE WRONG NUMBER. STOP CALLING!"

when i went to mexico theres was a lady at the airport going to mexico too and she said she had asked a flight attendant something and the attendant said "no hablo espanol" and she told me what she had said to the flight attendant in spanish "look bitch you do know spanish then how the hell would u say to me "no hablo espanol" if u didn't?"

i laughed but felt sorry for the flight attendant:o and thought the lady was mean cuz people who don't know spanish probally only know "no hablo espanol" and she shouldn't expect everybody to know her language.

I have a feeling I would have been called stupid no matter what. I'm stupid for not being fluent in spanish or able to understand her or I'm stupid for trying to speak to her in her native tounge. either way I couldn't win.

i have a friend who is half puerto-rican and doesn't speak spanish.

its also rare to find a puerto-rican in L.A mostly mexicans and almost evrbody at school knows spanish but speaks english so she gets teased when she doesn't speak spanish correctly so she doesn't even try to.

well christ, I mean if I can't speak spanish properly then it is pretty obvious that I can't speak spanish, what the hell did she want for me other than to be a spanish speaking person. I usually get it pretty quick when I'm speaking english to someone and they don't understand. I don't keep speaking english to them. I end the conversation with out fucking insulting them.

I'm pretty sure it's J-Lo who's 100% Puerto Rican, and she's all about Puerto Rican pride and shit, and doesn't speak a single word of Spanish. That's more shameful, I think. Being heavy into the scene without actually knowing the language.
