Most of you may have seen these before, but...

19 Oct 2003 While eating a hamburger at a local McDonald's, a Marine stationed at Cherry Point naval base in Havelock, North Carolina is jabbed by the broken tip of a small-gauge hypodermic needle hidden inside the sandwich.

8 Feb 2005 In Rockford, Illinois an unidentified gunman in a Pontiac four-door drives up to the McDonald's on Auburn Street and fires three shots into a dining-room window. A few diners are injured by shards of glass

9 Jun 1999 A McDonald's in Walsgrave, England is shut down by government health inspectors after four hours of serving food with raw sewage on the kitchen floor.

4 May 2001 Midway through her McDonald's cheeseburger, Jackie Wollenberg notices blood stains on the wrapper. When she confronts the bandaged employee of the Largo, Florida franchise, he reassures her: "I just had a blood test last week, and I'm clean."

And on two occasions...!

19 Jun 2001 In Detroit, 11-year-old Vincent Ingram bites into a McDonald's cheeseburger and notices that it infested with live maggots. He later files a $1 million lawsuit against the restaurant.

28 Jul 2002 In Sacramento, California, Ta Van Le and his wife Huyen Ta Le bite into some McDonald's Sausage McMuffins with Egg and notice that they are infested with live maggots. The couple later files a $50,000 lawsuit against the restaurant.

Last but not least...

24 Jun 1996 A university student gives birth in the parking lot of a McDonald's in Tukwila, Washington. She then dumps the baby in a garbage can and cleans up in the McDonald's restroom. The woman is arrested later that day on campus.

for a multi billion dollar corporation that has restaurants in every continent on the planet sans Antartica, 7 isolated incidents is pretty miniscule.

I'm just pointing out some messed up events, like that last one, so inhumane. The chances of incidents like those happening to you are slim to none, though.

Still, I'd rather eat at Subway or this one fast-food place that offers italian beef. They're delicious, and I've read only served in the Chicago area.

what does the last one have to do with Mcdonalds though? Other than the fact that she gave birth there, it doesnt have anything to do with the restaurant or company.

Yeah, it doesn't. I added it in anyway, as a display of sadness.

Some retarded girl gave birth in the woods behind my old house and dumped the baby in a river. I don't think she got in trouble, because she was mentally challenged and all. This happened when I was 5, apparently.

And there was another incident up in Damascus (upper Maryland, reaching hicksville) and she dumped the baby in a field. The baby was found later that day, covered in ants and ticks. They saved the baby and gave it to an adoption agency and I'm pretty sure they arrested the girl too.

Seriously, how hard is it to go to an adoption agency yourself? There's no doubt whether the baby is living when it's already outside your body, breathing and having its little heart beat without the help of you. That's murder and it's wrong.

Um, so what about McDonalds?

A few years ago I heard the story that a girl one province over, hide her 9 month pregnancy from her parents, gave birth to the baby in her room alone, then later threw the baby in a garbage bag and put the poor thing out on the curb for the garbage truck. I think they saved the baby because some people walked by and heard a baby bawling coming from the trash.

p.s. Mcdonald's sucks

What about that story of the girl who was brutally STABBED (I think) out of no-where in a McDonald's she worked at? It happened this year, I think. Sad, sad. :(

I've got a recent woe... Yesterday, I ate a chicken ranch sandwich-thing and threw up all of last night. As did my sister.

I swore never to eat there again before. Now I know for SURE never-EVER again.

how sad must your sanitation be to have maggots in your food?

i would think any place that had a single incident like that would be shut down promptly. i mean, i wasn't in my apartment for 2 weeks and came back to old rotting fruit in my room and it still wasn't that bad

I haven't had a burger from McDonalds since last month. I was really drunk. I had a Big N Tasty, which I fuckin' hate, but it was like $3.99 for the meal so I was like "YEAH!" I have some really bad pictures of me shoving it in my mouth with my face being beet-red. I woke up in the morning and saw the wrapper and was like "The hell? I hate Big N Tasty's!"
