What prerequisites do you consider before posting in a thread?

For me, I'll post in just about any thread now, but it has to interest me at the least. I used to rarely post because I couldn't think of anything insightful to say, but if you think about it too much, you'll never post.

Eh, I guess it's just important to have fun.

Sure, you too. You don't stop by the channel anymore. WHY? Oh, wait. I did see you there, but you left so soon.

I find it interesting that people actually expect to find and more importantly deliver insightful ideas and blurbs on the 'Beastie Boys Message Board'... to me it's like a high school lunch room and there's just peeps hangin everywhere talking trash. Randomly you'll get some insight, but usually it's a fluke. That's just how I see it. If you get the urge and it makes you happy... you should post to your heart's content! Whatever the quantity or quality.(lb)

Yeah, that is a good comparison--you can be whoever you want, and act however you wish on a forum. I think it's what you make of it. Depending on the topic, and how you explain yourself, you'll garner attention of many people, and then a serious discussion is born.

Good point, and I get that feeling as well. I try to keep the atmosphere positive, with a dash of wit.

Indeed, editing posts is common. I just did it in DDD's thread because I didn't read her post--I figured the jest of the topic, and said the doctor may have been a girl, when she said boy in the post. ;(

Oh well. It happens. That's why the function is there.
