I wanna get away from "commycast" and currently looking for suggestions.

Who has Directv or Dish Network here and which one is best?

Please leave any positive or negative comments.

when you have shitty weather, you will have no signal. that's for both of them (i used to have directv, my sister used to have dish network).

so, either way, you're looking at the same problem. so pick the channels you won't be able to view during a thunderstorm and see who will charge you less for their shitty service.

Digital. Sattelite is a pain in the ass to install/adjust. Plus the whole weather thing. digital.

the weather thing can be a pain in the ass sometimes but its not a big problem my tv just gets blurry for a few seconds and then goes back to signal

I have Dish. Aside from the occasional (maybe 3 times in 1 1/2 years) of having to call in to have a tech guy tell me over the phone how to fix whatever issue I'm having, it's been good. It's gotten stuck on a couple of screens and we had a problem with a neighbor being on the same signal once, so we had channel battles. That's about it. I like it, but it doesn't have OnDemand, just DVR, which is fine, but OnDemand would be nice too. We also have snow about 5 months out of the year and crazy wind just about every afternoon and nothing has fucked it up, I'd like to add.

My boyfriend and his roommate had Dish and it was no end of problems. They recently switched to comcast.

I wish people would stop calling it hockey.

It's Ice Pond Sticked Football.

Direct paid the NFL 500 million dollars to make sure Dish isn't around in 5 years.

I think it would be an easier choice of either of the two dish networks had internet service availible. (which im sure they are working on)

I have DishNetwork and love it. I bought the package deal where you get Dish, Highspeed Wireless Internet, and telephone service all bundled together.

I've only had a couple of times when the weather is horrible that service has gone out. You must get the DVR feature...it is very cool! I never though I would need to pause/rewind live TV but I use it all the time.

As a bonus, Dish comes with Sirius music channels. (y)
