did anyone watch the weathe channel over the weekend? they had an entirely red map except for the northwest, who apparently are having lovely weather. everywhere else in the country was supposed to be over 90 (at least it was so on sunday).

It's supposed to be in the low-90s here by late afternoon.
My son is the type who never complained about heat until this summer. He's in Georgia where it's hot and humid and he said the air feels like sand. I guess it's close to 100 today and has topped that several times in the last couple of weeks. Which he said is making it interesting to carry around the 80# of equipment.

83 today and it feels respectably cool. Over the weekend I would turn off the A/C every so often and my kitten would pant!!!! :D

Seattle is expected to hit the 90's this weekend. The NW is one of the greatest places in the world during the summer. (y)

all my friends from the "west side" say that. Pullman, WA is not so lovely in the summer. I mean it's hot, but it's not pretty.
I guess Im the same as enree. Fuck, it's hot. I was at the All Good Music Festival in WV over the weekend and I woke up to the temp being 113 in my tent.:(
P.S. I made out with Patty Matthews.

i didn't know cats panted. they seemed too cool for thatI think if a cat pants, it's a sign that he's physically stressed in some way. I've always thought that if the panting continues for more than a couple of minutes, you should have the cat examined.
I've had cats since I was 12 and only one panted and it happened after she vomitted.

its hot, they pant when its extremely hot.I guess we haven't had that kind of horribly cat-panting hot weather. It was 96 here yesterday and this one cat who hangs on my porch was sitting in as much shade as he could get and no panting although he was breathing in a labored looking way. I've never seen it without the cat being sick in some other way--usually dehydrated after puking.

I'm kindof new here, but couldn't resist posting to this one. The official high here today was 107! What's worse is that it wasn't even a record. Way too hot for me...I feel like packing it up and moving to the mountains.

it was 94 degrees here, plus it was humid as shit. I got inside of my car and BREATHED in the water in the air. My lungs just became totally saturated, it was so humid. It's gonna storm hardcore tonight, apparently - nickel-sized hail. That should make some of the humidity go down.

Do you live in a snow globe?
It was about mid 90's today but the humidity made it feel near the 100's. It's like 3rd world country weather where I live, it feels like. Thankfully I'm not ON the equator.
I don't know how my white ass would make it down there.
I moved from South Florida to North Texas because of global warming. My guess is that Beth and Ericlee will fall in the Atlantic in the very near future. I spoke with Al Gore and decided to move to a place void of trees and water.
Oh, it is hot as a bitch I agree.....but I always wondered about people that complain about the weather(lb)....are they the same people during winter that keep the house as hot as it was in the summer, when they complained about the heat?

gotta love winter.

Not this dude. I enjoy the hell out of winter. It's a chance to show off my fly jackets and wear flannel pajama pants/bunny slippers around the house. I can't wait for the cold weather!

I am right there with ya minus the bunny slippers. I just moved out of South Florida so I am looking forward to nice cold winter. I unpacked all my flannels, corduroy, my favorite Carhartt winter coat, down vest and on and on. I Remember the days of long pants but it seems so distant. I can even hit the road to Colorado or New Mexico to go skiing.
